Saying goodbye to my first programming books 📚 Love the client diversity, but I hope we won’t see Ethereum client written in Delphi, PHP, or Visual Basic :)

🎉 The @ethereum Holesky Testnet has successfully forked and is running smoothly on the Nethermind Client! Congrats to all the client teams, researchers, testing crews, DevOps experts, and the Ethereum community for making this possible. 🚀 Next up: Sepolia.
Holesky finalized! A great first step towards Fusaka on mainnet and to more blobs on Ethereum 📈🐡
The fusaka fork starts its process to ship on Mainnet! The first step was the Holesky testnet fork - which happened an hour earlier today! The fork has finalized and the network is looking good, we'll run through our tests and update you in a few hours.

🚨 Sunnyside devnet report (09/30) just dropped — about the devnet-5 ran at ~11% mainnet scale (~1.7K full nodes). If you care about blob scaling & network limits, this is essential reading. A thread 🧵
Sunnyside Labs, together with @ethPandaOps, @Optimism and @base, has launched another mega-devnet for Fusaka, featuring 56K validators and 1.7K full nodes - roughly 11% of mainnet scale - and supporting up to 72 blobs.

Legacy (fka mainstream) media lies relentlessly
Elon Musk: Legacy media are very effective at making people believe things that aren't true. “Unfortunately, what I've learned is that legacy media propaganda is very effective at making people believe things that aren't true. For example, how many legacy media publications, talk shows, whatever, tried to claim that I was a Nazi because of some random hand gesture at a rally where all I said was that my heart goes out to you. I was talking about space travel, and yet legacy media promoted that as though that was a deliberate Nazi gesture. In fact, every politician, any public speaker who's spoken for any length of time has made the exact same gesture. I've never harmed a single person.” Interview with David Faber, May 20, 2025

Where can I find the Ethereum download page, asking for a friend, he heard it is easy to run it from his home. 😅

Honestly, @VitalikButerin is brilliant for many reasons. He's on top (deeply so) on topics ranging from Ethereum to crypto/CS to philosophy. But what really shines to me is that he can have a conversation in this app. Wherever I get a reply from him, my feed pukes with AI bots.

new AI team at the EF 👀🤖
We’re starting a new AI Team at the Ethereum Foundation (the dAI Team). Our mission: make Ethereum the preferred settlement and coordination layer for AIs and the machine economy. The team will focus on two main areas: - AI Economy on Ethereum = giving AI agents and robots ways to pay, coordinate, and follow rules without middlemen. - Decentralized AI Stack = making sure the future of AI doesn’t rely only on a handful of entities but has open, verifiable censorship-resistant alternatives. We believe Ethereum can be as useful for today’s AI developers as it will be for the sci-fi future. That’s why we’ll work closely with ecosystem projects to accelerate progress and push the boundaries of research and innovation at the intersection of AI and blockchains. Connecting two communities that have too often worked in parallel. We’ll work side by side with both the Protocol and Ecosystem teams at the EF. Linking protocol improvements with the needs of AI builders, and funding innovative public goods that will make Ethereum the best home for AI. Ethereum makes AI more trustworthy, and AI makes Ethereum more useful. The more intelligent agents transact, the more they need a neutral base layer for value and reputation. Ethereum benefits by becoming that layer and AI benefits by escaping lock-in to a few centralized platforms. Acting with purpose and urgency, we’ll continue our recent work on ERC-8004—a standard for proving who an AI agent is and whether you can trust it— and continue to support new upgrades and standards. Inspired by the d/acc philosophy and Ethereum values, we’ll support projects that are leveraging Ethereum to build a more resilient and secure AI ecosystem where humans can flourish with AI. Ethereum + AI is about making sure humans keep agency and AI can reach its potential. Neutral, verifiable, censorship-resistant infrastructure means AI works for the people, all of us. The team starts with myself as lead, and we’re just getting started. Explore our job postings and resources below, and join us in building the future of decentralized AI on Ethereum.

Protocol Guild just put out the first comprehensive compensation report for Ethereum core devs 💰👀
1/ We are releasing the first-ever comp report for Ethereum core devs. Two striking takeaways: ⭐ they pass up at least 50% of their market value to maintain existential industry software ⭐ PG funding helps reduce this gap & retain talent long term ↓ Report & thread ↓

2/ Full report → protocolguild.org/blog/20250… Protocol Guild is the leading independent org providing comprehensive funding to ~190 core devs. Undercompensation makes it harder to attract and retain top talent. This report is hard data on the funding issue's nature & magnitude.

Perfect opportunity to share that I’ve joined the @ethereumfndn protocol consensus team, where we’re working on a new consensus protocol with fast finality 🚀 After my PhD research on fast finality, I'm super excited for what's ahead!
Let's bring fast finality asap to @ethereum ! We published an update on our related work and projects last Friday, and on this topic, these are the relevant points: - Shorten slot times to increase the heartbeat of the network and decrease every delay: Time to inclusion / fast confirmation / finality. See post by @misilva73 for the latest on this work! ethresear.ch/t/an-analysis-o… - Expose in clients the fast confirmation rule for strong confirmation in 1-3 blocks (10-30s) using the attesting weight, get apps/infra to use it where sensible, instead of waiting for full finality (13-19mins). (Re-)Specification effort with @robsaltini @mkalinin2 among others arxiv.org/abs/2405.00549 - Investigate Gasper/beacon chain changes proposed by @VitalikButerin to pipeline better fork choice/dynamic availability data and finality data ethresear.ch/t/lmd-ghost-wit… - Deploy a new consensus mechanism. We have one with three-slot-finality (arxiv.org/abs/2411.00558), also diving into fast BFT protocols with @yannvon @luca_zanolini to decrease time-to-finality further
