My mother was an artist and my father was a research meteorologist. My dad would marvel at a storm for the mechanics at play while my mom would see the sheer visual beauty of it all. Somehow, I think I got a little piece of both of them. APPROACHING STORM, 16x16”, Acrylic

Sipping my morning coffee β˜•οΈ and thinking about these marvellous Minoan cups! They look so modern it’s incredible to think they were created by Bronze Age potters about 3,800 years ago! This type of Minoan pottery is known as Kamares Ware. Kamares Ware vessels are said to have been used in palace banquets, so rather than coffee, they may have been used for consumption of alcohol. Analysis of organic residues from ancient Cretan pottery have detected resin-flavoured wine. My photo taken at Heraklion Archaeological Museum, Crete. #Archaeology
I'm glad my English teacher read to us out loud and pointed out excellent literature, this in the early 70s... Great poets, as Frost, stand the test of time...

My dad used to ask me if I had any money at the checkout buying groceries when I was five. He also told us to combat roll out of the car when we got to the Y, said he was a busy man with places to be.
