I gotta tell you. Every time I think I want to just move on from all the Biola stuff (because I just don't have that much vested interest beyond trying to inform prospective parents and students), someone, in this case, a former Biola prof, calls me and @biblical_unity (who both have degrees from Biola and one who holds a DMin in Public Theology specializing in Feminist Standpoint Theory) "extreme right" and "totally racist." Be assured. Slanderous and unfounded name-calling will not intimidate. I would also appreciate prayers that I will keep my heart soft and my eyes on biblical truth. (One way I try and do this is to take time to pray for all people involved, which I did before I posted this.)

Yet Villodas himself says that the Liberation Theology of James Cone "Blessed me and shaped my theology."

I'm truly not trying to pick on Rich Villodas. I'm not judging his eternal soul or dismissing any good and beneficial ministry he has done. But since his name has popped up in the context of Biola University not only hosting him, but board members defending that choice, parents need to know that he unapologetically promotes Liberation Theologian James Cone, and the heretic Richard Rohr. (This is just a sampling of ubiquitous examples)
In other news, I found THE perfect sweatsuit at Costco and I'm feeling pretty good about it.
"All sufficient merit shining like the sun A fortune I inherit by no work I have done My righteousness I forfeit at my Savior's cross Where all sufficient merit did what I could not" Such a beautiful song. piped.video/VFwC9v9NYQM?si=U0b6…
