I got into web dev through Linux. Crappy laptop -> googled how to make my laptop fast -> saw Reddit post on Linux -> installed Ubuntu in virtualbox -> crappy laptop crashed -> wiped my drive and installed Ubuntu -> fell in love -> started tweaking & configuring -> ended up coding

If only omarchy was out 6 months before i would have gone for a linux desktop instead of a mac.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're refering to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system

Linux is my favorite OS. I've been using it exclusively for 25 years now. For beginners, it can be challenging to get certain devices like WiFi and graphics cards to work correctly. Posting this from fresh (back again) PopOS!, till date the best OS I have settled in. Reason: - Out of box builtin tiling window manager (light, works for 90% of tiling use cases) - ISO with NVIDIA driver / setup builtin. - Based on Ubuntu (hence apt just works). - Fun
