Rental price freezes are a stupid idea. Much better to just let people build more housing. Strict zoning laws are the culprit, not landlords hiking rents...

What annoys me most about Mamdani supporters is not that they make economic errors, but that they're so often unwilling to even consider the possibility that their favored policies have downsides. They'll sleepwalk into policies that hurt the people they want to help.
