Just three more dollars a week! That's what the average ObamaCare enrollee will pay once the COVID-era ObamaCare subsidies expire. And it's why Democrats shut down the government—ignoring ObamaCare's failures in the process. FGA's @HaydenDublois for @NYPostOpinion. ⤵️
Thank you, @POTUS for sharing our work!!

.@SenWarren supports continuing massive corporate welfare to health insurance companies—using your tax dollars—but virtue-signals about how she knows best on how to use private money she thinks the government owns. Astounding.
So Donald Trump’s big donors and giant corporations get massive tax breaks, but Americans waiting for SNAP payments are told to eat dirt? Did I get that right?

Really important point in the debate. Vast majority of enrollees will only pay nominal premiums next year because the underlying ACA subsidies are so large. (75% of enrollees have income under 250% FPF).
If the temporary Biden COVID Bonuses expire, the American government is not going to stop subsidizing Obamacare. Taxpayers will still spend over one trillion dollars subsidizing Obamacare through premium tax credits. We need to address that problem.

Only 28% of able-bodied adults without dependents on food stamps have earned income.
Good thing that's not what happens! There are already very strict work requirements for food assistance. Also, most people on SNAP aren't expected to work (they are kids, seniors, people with a disability.) Of the rest, most work (often more than one job) for poverty wages.

Health in$urance companies applaud Schumer’s proposal to extend Obamacare subsidies for one year. Another year of insane profits at the expense of consumers and American taxpayers. In$urance companies love this idea.
MINORITY LEADER SCHUMER: “Democrats are ready to clear the way to quickly pass a government funding bill that includes health care affordability. Leader Thune just needs to add a clean one-year extension of the ACA tax credits to the CR so that we can immediately address rising health care costs.”
The COVID credits were set to expire by the end of 2025 three years ago. Democrats will almost assuredly continue to extend—and further expand—the subsidies forever if they can. They have no interest in addressing the ObamaCare cost problem.
News: Among other things, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer will propose that Dems will support reopening the government if Republicans agree to attach one year ACA subsidies extension, per three sources W/ @AndrewDesiderio

Despite the headlines, 2026 Obamacare premiums aren’t spiking because of Biden’s expiring COVID credits. They account for only 3.3% of next year’s premiums. The real problem? Obamacare’s structure and rising medical costs. t2m.io/s5UmUvP
Democrats are "demanding that President Donald Trump and his fellow Republicans permanently extend the expanded Obamacare subsidies that President Joe Biden temporarily created during the pandemic." READ ⤵️ nypost.com/2025/11/04/opinio…

Democrats are in a complete state of denial about the damage done by Obamacare: Senator Blumenthal: “I don’t know of anyone who has been harmed by Obamacare.” Huh? What about… • Disabled children stuck on home healthcare waiting lists, crowded out by able-bodied adults.  • Employees whose companies dropped group coverage, forcing them into unaffordable Obamacare exchanges.   Even the Democrats’ own hearing witness… • Was forced into the exchanges in 2016 when her employer dropped coverage.   • Paid $12,000/year for a silver plan in 2016.   • Switched to a cheaper bronze plan with a $14,000 deductible.   • Had to take out an $18,000 home equity loan to cover medical bills that the bronze plan didn’t cover.   @SenBlumenthal needs to open his eyes and see the real damage Obamacare has done to the American people.
Our second witness, Tarren Bragdon, described the damage done to Medicaid and to those whom Medicaid was originally designed to help.
WATCH: Paragon's @brian_blase briefly explains why the enhanced premium tax credits should expire. "Real reform does not mean increasing taxpayer subsidies. It means giving consumers choices to buy plans that best meet their needs."
Government serves people best when it operates in the light — not the dark. That’s why easy access to information like state contracts and new federal programs should be readily available to Hoosiers. This year, Indiana House Majority Floor Leader Matt Lehman sponsored legislation to increase accountability and transparency in state government. @INHouseGOP WATCH ⤵️
A young man who chooses not to work gets a 90% federal match. A disabled person or senior in poverty? 57%. That’s the perverse math of Medicaid expansion.  @TarrenBragdon exposed it all in his Senate testimony — watch here ⬇️

Medicaid was meant for the truly needy — children, seniors, pregnant women, and the disabled. Now, nearly 40 million able-bodied adults are on it — more than any other group. That’s not compassion. That’s broken policy. 🎥 Watch @TarrenBragdon explain why ⬇️
Looking forward to @TarrenBragdon joining @SenRonJohnson to expose how Medicaid’s failures under Obamacare have harmed the truly needy. Watch the hearing below.
🚨Today at 1pm ET, I’m holding a hearing on “Assessing the Damage Done by Obamacare.” We’ll expose how Obamacare wrecked the individual marketplace and made healthcare care less affordable for millions of Americans. Tune in below⬇️ x.com/i/broadcasts/1yoKMPqEN…

The “temporary COVID” enhanced subsidies only mask the failure of Obamacare. Premiums keep rising because of Obamacare’s faulty design.   Democrats are the ones who set these subsidies to expire, not Republicans. And they should expire. I’ll be holding a hearing on Thursday assessing the damage Obamacare has inflicted on Americans.

Senate Democrats refuse to “release the funds” by continuing to vote for a government shut down.
I have a message for President Trump: the money you are withholding from the SNAP program is not yours to withhold. It belongs to the American taxpayers.  Release the funds now.

Democrats have shut down the entire federal government over a $3️⃣-a-week increase in Obamacare premiums. Meanwhile, they’re fighting tooth and nail against real reform that would actually lower costs. Check out @HaydenDublois's latest in the @newyorkpost. ⬇️ nypost.com/2025/11/04/opinio…
