Pune’s roads, once meant to connect, now seem determined to challenge. Across the city from stretches governed by the Pune Cantonment Board (PCB) to those under the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), commuters face a daily ordeal navigating through pothole-riddled roads that resemble a lunar landscape more than urban infrastructure. The sheer volume of traffic, including heavy vehicles, has turned many of these potholes into massive craters. The result: crawling traffic, constant honking, and a symphony of frustration that echoes through the city’s busiest arteries. During Pune Times Mirror’s pothole identification and reporting drive, a visit to the stretch opposite the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) revealed the true extent of neglect. Gigantic, water-filled craters sprawled across the road, forcing vehicles to slow to a crawl and zigzag dangerously to avoid them. Cars had no choice but to dip their wheels into the craters, while bikers and scooterists risked skidding or toppling, especially after dark, when absent streetlights render these dangers nearly invisible. Every monsoon, the same story repeats, roads crumble, repairs are superficial, and the patchwork fails before the next downpour. It’s high time PCB and PMC put an end to this annual cycle of inconvenience and hazard. Pune’s citizens deserve roads that serve, not sabotage, their daily commute. #PuneNews #PuneUpdates #CityNews #PuneTimesMirror #MaharashtraNews #BreakingNews #LocalNews

Barely a year and a half after the grand inauguration of the Atal Setu, repair and asphalt patchwork have already begun on the bridge. The maintenance work has sparked serious concerns about the quality and durability of the country’s longest sea bridge. Citizens have expressed disappointment, questioning how such a massive infrastructure project, built at a cost of thousands of crores, could require repairs so soon. The issue has once again highlighted concerns over construction standards, material quality, and long-term maintenance accountability in major public projects. #AtalSetu #MumbaiNews #InfrastructureIndia #BridgeRepair #AtalSetuPatchwork (Atal Setu repair, Atal Setu patchwork, Mumbai bridge maintenance, Atal Setu quality issues, infrastructure quality India)

In Pune, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has launched an aggressive protest against Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and his son Parth Pawar. The protest was held outside the Tehsildar office over the controversial land deal in Mundhwa, demanding Ajit Pawar’s resignation. Protesters alleged that authorities are “intentionally avoiding filing a case against Parth Pawar.” During the agitation, MNS workers burned an effigy of Ajit Pawar and Parth Pawar as a symbolic act of protest. The controversy involves Amadea Enterprises LLP, a company linked to Parth Pawar, which allegedly purchased land worth ₹300 crore through improper means. While a case has been registered against the Tehsildar involved, MNS questioned why no action has been taken against Parth Pawar. The protesters demanded that Ajit Pawar take moral responsibility and resign from his post. #Parthpawar #ajitpawar #MNS #pune #latestnews
