Wrong. It’s not capitalism. It’s the leadership. See below for real answers.
South Korea displays the highest achievements and the lowest failures of the modern world On one hand, the Korean peninsula contains an endorsement of capitalism so clear that you can see it from space. It's a randomized control trial splayed out over the surface of the earth. Controlling for geography, culture, language, history, and demographics, the difference between North and South tests the effect of capitalist institutions. On one side the people are desperately poor and enslaved. On the other, they are fabulously wealthy and free. On the other hand, while we can imagine the economic possibilities for our grandchildren; there will only be 1 grandchild for every 4 people in South Korea. Or really, three quarters of one. A fertility rate of 1 means that the population gets cut in half every generation. South Korea’s fertility rate is 0.72. South Korea is exponentially decaying with a half-life of 30 years and in 3 or 4 generations they will disappear. Whatever you think the causes or solutions are, the experiment on the Korean peninsula will continue. Anyone who can understand, explain, or predict this will greatly benefit our world.

And yes, does it mean we truly create? I can’t go from nand to tetris, if that’s what you mean. Does it mean we are now not alienated? No. Even though I remember the Nicene Creed, but I still read it out loud. I learn something new from the Bible. Tools allow us to discover, remind and reinforce.
What if uncle Ted was wrong and that we just needed a bit more technology to unlock the prison of complexity, and to finally regain the journey through the power process?

"Just use OpenAI API" Until you need: - Custom fine-tuned models - <50ms p99 latency - $0.001/1K tokens (not $1.25/1K input) Then you build your own inference platform. Here's how to do that:

You should read more. It will be good for synthesis of accurate assessments. East Asian history is replete with examples of exceptional individuals saving the nation (or betraying them, then going from one power to another) Too many to list.
Replying to @CEBKCEBKCEBK
Many peoples trade, invade, save, slave, assimilate, segregate, etc, but only “west” makes men like Alcibiades (rose to prominence in Athens, too individualist, exiled, rose to prominence in Sparta, too individualist, exiled, rose to prominence in Persia, too individualist, etc).

Wow, language models can talk without words. A new framework, Cache-to-Cache (C2C), lets multiple LLMs communicate directly through their KV-caches instead of text, transferring deep semantics without token-by-token generation. It fuses cache representations via a neural projector and gating mechanism for efficient inter-model exchange. The payoff: up to 10% higher accuracy, 3–5% gains over text-based communication, and 2× faster responses. This, except it’s on a big airship that goes over our cities, zapping criminals.

I am a Roman! Western Roman Empire destroyed by barbarians. Eastern (Constantinople) taken by Turks. Only Southern Rome left—DC! Rome revived as American Empire. And I, an American, am part of this great Roman world! 🇺🇸

How big of array of mirrors would you need to light up a football field with sunlight equivalent to 10% of noon, with mirrors located 1) 100km away? 2) 500km away?
1
“but what if you had multiple mirrors arrayed to be concentrated?” Yeah and that increases payload cost per luminosity.

This sounds like a great idea, if you are a vc who don’t know how mirrors work (hint, inverse square law)
There’s a startup putting mirrors in space to deliver sunlight to Earth at night. If it works, will have implications for agriculture, mining, energy and civilization. Truly a moonshot idea.

It went from 3:1 female who reproduced to male who reproduced ratio during hunter-gatherer society to 17:1 at the advent of agricultural civilization. It sounds like women became extremely picky about men, even willing to live as concubines instead of marrying some other guy, but ratio imbalance is probably a precursor indicator to a massive population boom. We’re now seeing similar levels of super selective bottleneck, at least superficially, except women aren’t in general even having children, so I suspect “women reproducing to men reproducing ratio” is close to 2:1 now. Maybe even worse, like 3:2 or even lower? Like 1:2 - Woman who want children having different men for her children. (e.g. single mom wants another child)

Big changes in the population, or rise of population superstars, happen quietly when it seemed least likely. To these super grandfathers’ contemporaries it would have seemed unwise to have so many children. Also none of them would have had children thinking their progeny would account for big proportion of future generations. They wouldn’t know for sure relative to world at large. They just had children because they could and they needed them.
Did you know that 40% of all modern Chinese descend from 3 Neolithic “Super grandfathers”, likely kings or wealthy lords who controlled a resource surplus made possible by advent of agriculture.

There are levels of productivity and ergonomics we have not yet reached across many industries, even without AI.

It’s true. Character building experience is when you go from one station in life to another. Hard to learn humility from high places.
Hot girls tend to have 0 aura because life is too easy for them and it’s hard to build character when everything is handed to you. A beautiful mid, an autist, or a girl who grew up ugly then became hot is where the gold is. The same is true for men. Ultra hot men are incredibly bland. He needs to have suffered or be short or bald. Aura is bred through the trenches
It’s cyberpunk corporate warfare, but not exciting shooting kind we were promised by fiction writers.
“Why SK hynix Is Bound to Lose to Samsung” A friend of mine who’s a strong Samsung supporter told me, “I think Samsung will inevitably overtake SK hynix in HBM.” So I asked, “Why do you think that? Even Samsung’s own semiconductor engineers are jealous of the high bonuses at SK hynix and are trying to leave for them.” Then he pointed out, “That’s exactly my point! The reason SK hynix is doing so well right now is because they’re paying out 10% of their operating profit as bonuses. But think about it — SK hynix’s current success is driven by the massive profits from HBM. Is that really sustainable?” Me: “What do you mean by that?” Friend: “SK hynix doesn’t have its own foundry. So they have to rely on TSMC. You know what that means? To make HBM4, SK hynix has to pay TSMC huge foundry fees — and as HBM continues to adopt more advanced nodes, those costs will only increase.” Me: “Go on.” Friend: “But Samsung has its own foundry. That means they can produce HBM much more cheaply than SK hynix or Micron. In fact, two or three years from now, Samsung might be able to pay even higher bonuses than SK hynix. At that point, do you really think top engineers will still want to move to SK hynix? I doubt it.” Honestly, I find this reasoning quite convincing. Should I switch and become a Samsung bull?
