🚀 Excited to share that after the optimization of the square root using precomputed dlog tables the deserialisation in Constantine is 23% faster than go implementation 50% faster than the previous constantine version PS - the implementation is in constant-time arithmetics 😇

Saddest part is that Metanask was fine, like absolutely fine. Then they hired individuals who rarely interact with the chain and decided to move things around in a way that makes no semantic sense. The greatest threat to a company developing a crypto product would be team members who rarely transact on-chain.
the great wallet flippening has occurred @gasdotzip

"But it uses Rust it has to be better than the alternative!" Half of crypto-developer space mindset is similar bubble.
As predicted, the “Re-written in Rust” versions of the GNU Core Utils (known as “uutils”) have been causing problems on the recently shipped Ubuntu 25.10. In this case, the Rust-developed clone of the “date” command had significant issues that caused automatic system update checks on Ubuntu to fail to occur. Worth noting that the Rust-based “date” clone only passes 2 of the 8 test cases for the utility — that’s a 75% failure rate. And some other Rust-based Core Utils clones fare even worse. The Ubuntu team knew the Rust “uutil” failure rate was this extreme when they chose to replace the well tested GNU Core Utils. Fortunately, this specific issue has been fixed and made available to Ubuntu users. Unfortunately… Considering the extremely large number of known test failures of the Rust “uutils” — and the fact that those existing tests only cover a tiny fraction of the total functionality of the GNU Core Utils which these Rust versions are meant to replace (meaning most missing functionality and errors will not be caught by the tests) — it seems like a reasonable bet that this is only the beginning of the issues which Ubuntu will see in the coming months.

Super proud and scared at the same time, today I've officially went from developer to founder. 🥹 Dark Bio is not my hobby project any more, it's an attempt to open genomics privately and sovereignly to the world. 😊
Thrilled to announce, that Dark Bio AG is officially incorporated in Zug, Switzerland! 🇨🇭 Infinite work to be done, but it's a huge step towards private, sovereign and personal genomics. 🧬 Thank you everyone involved in this milestone! 🤍

Someone should contact the US government and tell them that instead of doing the "HashStorage" smart contract to store the US GDP on chain, they should just upload it as a blob. right now, the .pdf is still offchain, only the hash is onchain anyways. might as well be a kzg commitment

ETH at 4k$ is a nice accomplishment. However, there is still a lot of work to be done before we can do proper victory lapses imo. Wallets still need to get better and the L1 still needs to scale. We are not even close being done.

In 2015, when I first started building Etherscan as a solo founder, I would at times get "stuck" (no AI helpers back then!). One particular tricky area was the "internal txns". I remember reaching out to Peter late at night on Gitter —he was very helpful and kind.. he replied, explained, even drew diagrams. In 2016, while trying to figure out how to keep Etherscan sustainable (after getting rejected for a foundation grant 😅), I applied to @BoostVC. They needed a reference—Peter kindly agreed to be one. Peter didn’t just help with Ethereum—he helped the people building around it. Sincerely wishing you the very best in your next chapter @peter_szilagyi. 🙏

Is there any way to help with this? I was a CS professor before in University of Havana and hosted my own blockchain class in my last year there. I think I never got to write about the course contents but we got featured in that year POAP summary.
Glad of seeing University of Havana listed here. Got the chance of issuing POAPs this year for an ICPC competition and some others for a Blockchain class I was teaching there. Definitely the best way to track students assistance to class if you need/want to do so 😁

* @serg_tikhomirov is in Cinema 6 sharing a vision for the @Waku_org Service Marketplace. Think pay-per-query for decentralized messaging, new incentives for infra, and less reliance on centralized relays.

Publicly claiming "no plan to remove Geth" while slashing all its resources to death is exactly the kind of political theatre that I had hoped EF was putting behind itself. Sad times.

censorship resistance, security, privacy are fundamental properties of Ethereum, they apply to short term goals, long term goals, architecture, everything goals and directions are always built on top of these fundamentals
Replying to @ethereumfndn
Why are these not "strategic goals"? * Improving censorship resistance. * Improving end-user security. * Improving end-user privacy. Prioritizing scaling without any talk of CR, Security, and Privacy other than a hat tip in the opening line is incredibly concerning to me.

Great companies long realised their most valuable asset is their people. Google even highlights in their onboarding docs that devs ahead of customers; the latter are dime a dozen. Those who fail to understand it, are destined to irrelevance. Yes, this is a subtext.
