BREAKING: Security & Privacy 500 Emerges as New Benchmark Amid Decline in S&P 500
5/ Each privacy problem needs a tailored mix respecting UPS and compliance. Here’s how we do it: a) Onchain HE for confidential stablecoins + light proofs + IBE for granular disclosure b) Threshold IBE/MPC for auctions, lending, predictions, dark pools c) CKKS, TEE, MPC for private AI

4/ Security: TEEs break with physical access. TFHE relies on unverifiable (succinctly) offchain coprocessors. MPC depends on dis(honest) majority. HE can be verifiable onchain. TEEs can add security in depth for MPC/FHE. ZK can have bugs, and TEEs can double-check it.

3/ Performance: ZKPs can take minutes on a phone. MPC is fast for users but the network scales poorly. TFHE is slow, CKKS is faster but noisy and lacks conditional logic. Additive HE or threshold IBE are light and low-bandwidth but app-specific. Choose per use case.

2/ Use case: PETs are sometimes fundamentally limited. ZKPs are great for private IDs or addresses but limited in computing over encrypted data. MPC/HE handle that but can’t verify private inputs. Combine light ZKPs for input correctness with HE/MPC for computation.

Privacy space is often oversimplified, as if one magical solution could fix it all. In reality, it's a spectrum of trade-offs in UPS (Use case, Performance, and Security). Fairblock's stance: Dynamic Confidentiality. Use the right tool (or mix) for each use case.
Replying to @1HowardWu
I would do two dimensions: 1. What is hidden 2. Who can rugpull your privacy We want to try to get as far to the top right as possible. Different use cases are at different stages: sometimes the short-term realistic thing is to go from the bottom left to the middle, sometimes it's to go from the middle to the top right.
Personal or institutional financial data should never be corrupted by manipulators, competitors, bots or illicit funds. Incorruptible Money Movement.
Cryptography and privacy can’t and shouldn’t be siloed per chain. Fairblock is setting the cross-chain standard for fast, compliant, and confidential stablecoins.
Stablecoins will die without confidentiality.
A lot of Cash. Encrypted Cash.
A lot of stablecoins. Confidential stablecoins.
6/ The signal is clear: encrypt amounts and balances onchain and enable selective disclosure for auditors and counterparties. That’s how stablecoins move form remittances to serious business payment rails in emerging markets around the world.

5/ Users care too. CGAP showed that in Kenya, low-income borrowers chose to pay higher interest for better data privacy. If we respect privacy by default, adoption isn’t just faster. It’s stickier and bigger.

4/ Confidentiality doesn’t mean hiding from regulators. It’s cash-like privacy with ability to selectively disclose information as needed. India’s RBI says digital payments should be anonymous “to a certain degree.” South Africa’s Project Khokha already showed wholesale payments can run with full confidentiality onchain. This is the blueprint.

3/ Speed isn’t the barrier anymore. It’s information leakage. No CFO wants prices, margins, or supplier rates exposed on a block explorer. Even central banks like Bank of Thailand are saying, “Interbank transactions must be kept entirely confidential between participants.”

2/ Distribution is accelerating. @Plasma just launched a stablecoin-native neobank with a focus on markets where dollars are most in demand: emerging markets. That’s more local access for real payments.

Stablecoins are already payments infra in emerging markets. @yellowcard_app is Africa’s first licensed stablecoin payments rails in 20+ countries and has processed $6B+. Asia’s XREX, a regulated blockchain-enabled financial institution, is helping businesses move money across borders using USDT in a compliant way.
COF is very contagious.
This COF is really sick. Confidential Open Finance is contagious.
