I think the gov shutdown ending is something that can only be partially front run. It's kind of like the ETFs. People front ran them going live but it still pumped after because the actual event entailed a lot of inflow. Yes, people are longing ahead of the end of the shutdown but the corresponding liq spike is going to bring a lot of inflow during the days/weeks following. Hence me saying partially front run, there's the pre-buying but then there's also the actual buying. Contrast this to something like an expected announcement where all the buying is before this and the day of the announcement doesn't actually have any fundamental inflows directly from it, that would be full front run.
