#BREAKING NEWS: A violent shooting spree unfolded in Lexington, Kentucky.
The incident began at 11:36 AM EDT at Blue Grass Airport, where a Kentucky State Police trooper was seriously injured in a shooting. The suspect fled the scene and proceeded to Richmond Road Baptist Church, located at the 5800 block of Old Richmond Road, where multiple individuals were shot.
Kentucky State Police (KSP) and Lexington Police Department (LPD) responded swiftly, securing the suspect, who is now deceased.
Emergency medical services are on scene attending to the victims, including the injured trooper, who has been transported to a hospital.
Additionally, authorities are investigating three separate shootings that occurred earlier this morning at another location, though a connection remains unclear.
KSP spokesperson Sherry Bray confirmed the details, and further information will be provided if needed.
