No reported injuries! The good news is that the fire alarm went off immediately and afaik everyone evacuated in good order.
From what I can tell: a construction site next to this apartment building caught fire, it spread, and there wasn't enough water pressure to effectively fight the fire, so crews w tanker trucks had to be called in from up to an hour away. The fire was still smoldering after 18 hrs
Admitting that as many as 32 suicidal idiots try to "beat the train" in a single run, only to turn around and talk about Brightline "letting" people die...what a scumbag! I hope you get sued for slander
And I mean...take the hint; it sounds like Brightline gets an unsuccessful challenger every 13 days, do you really wanna try your luck with that track record?
At a certain point you have to wonder if people are just trying to tarnish Brightline bc it's a passenger railway that actually makes money.
Brightline, the shiny upscale train in S. Florida, is the deadliest train in the US—it kills someone every 13 days.
