Supervised fine-tuning, RLHF, LoRA. Real skills for real-world AI. Learn how to fine-tune and align LLMs with AMD’s own @realSharonZhou in this new @DeepLearningAI course.
An exciting new course: Fine-tuning and Reinforcement Learning for LLMs: Intro to Post-training, taught by @realSharonZhou, VP of AI at @AMD. Available now at DeepLearning.AI. Post-training is the key technique used by frontier labs to turn a base LLM--a model trained on massive unlabeled text to predict the next word/token--into a helpful, reliable assistant that can follow instructions. I've also seen many applications where post-training is what turns a demo application that works only 80% of the time into a reliable system that consistently performs. This course will teach you the most important post-training techniques! In this 5 module course, Sharon walks you through the complete post-training pipeline: supervised fine-tuning, reward modeling, RLHF, and techniques like PPO and GRPO. You'll also learn to use LoRA for efficient training, and to design evals that catch problems before and after deployment. Skills you'll gain: - Apply supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning (RLHF, PPO, GRPO) to align models to desired behaviors - Use LoRA for efficient fine-tuning without retraining entire models - Prepare datasets and generate synthetic data for post-training - Understand how to operate LLM production pipelines, with go/no-go decision points and feedback loops These advanced methods aren’t limited to frontier AI labs anymore, and you can now use them in your own applications. I got my 6950 xt 2 years ago, but now you stop the support meaning even FSR4 won't be available. That's not right. My next gpu won't be AMD. This is unacceptable.

Fascinating to see AMD entering the LLM post-training education space. I’m especially curious how LoRA + RLHF workflows will evolve for smaller, domain-specific fine-tunes - e.g, when aligning GPT based agents for automation pipelines or marketing assistants.
This is going to come in handy when my build is complete next week! Ryzen 9 9950X (16 C/32 T) | 128 GB DDR5-6000 CL32 Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24 GB | 6 TB Gen 5 + Gen 4 NVMe ASUS ProArt X670E | Corsair RM1000e | Noctua Cooling Phanteks Evolv X2 Case | Ubuntu 24.04 + ROCm 7 + PyTorch 2.5 ≈ 120 TFLOPs FP16 compute
If you guys could announce another major deal before/on earnings like the open ai deal, it would be the greatest thing for the stock going to earnings
Amd we need some new big news guys, Nvida your cometitor is scaring wall street again, release something to revive the momentum
Shame on you AMD for putting RX 6000 series on legacy support. I bought rx6900xt card brand new 3 years ago for over 700 euro. If this is the support standard from AMD then after 20 years I will also from now on join the Nvidia camp. This was my last AMD card ever!!!

A product with 2 years??? Someone spend a lot money for 2 years support? WTF are you doing @AMD @AMDRadeon @AMDGaming" AMD announced an effective termination of support for RDNA 1 and RDNA 2 graphics cards."
Was going to buy a 9070 XT until I found out your GPUs only receive priority support for two years. No point in buying something that could become obsolete so quickly.
FUCK YOU AMD! I bought my 6750xt two months ago AS NEW in a sealed box as I got a great deal on it. Now you are saying THE FUCKING DRIVER SUPPORT IS ENDING?
