Preliminary: A robbery occurred when an unknown male offender entered a business, displayed a firearm, and demanded property.
The offender took property from within and exited.
While outside, he was involved in a physical altercation with two victims, at which time the offender fired multiple gunshots in the direction of the victims.
A 63-year-old male victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his face, head, and body and was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced.
The second victim, a 25-year-old male, sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body and was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced.
Witnesses reported the gunman fleeing southbound on Springfield Avenue in a white SUV with tinted windows, possibly a Jeep.
There is no offender in custody.
Area Four Detectives are investigating.

6:22:10 PM CSTâPolice are responding to a report of a person who was shot.
6:30:48 PM CSTâPolice are now responding to a report of two people shot in the street at a new location.
6:31:35 PM CSTâPolice are on the scene where four individuals reportedly exchanged gunfire. One suspect fled in a white vehicle, another on foot.
6:31:48 PM CSTâPolice are tracking a white four-door SUV, possibly a Jeep, that fled westbound on 26th Street after the shooting.
6:32:05 PM CSTâPolice report two critically injured individuals with gunshot wounds at the scene. Emergency services are attending to them.
6:33:18 PM CSTâPolice are redirecting traffic at 26th and Avers to manage the scene of the shooting incident.
6:51:21 PM CSTâPolice have transported a critically injured individual with a gunshot wound to the chest to the hospital.
6:51:29 PM CSTâPolice received information about a white SUV with tinted windows, last seen heading eastbound in an alley near Springfield.
6:51:51 PM CSTâBoth shooting victims have been transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Iâm completely against the 50-year mortgage idea, itâs insane. Housing prices are already ridiculous, and people have largely stopped buying. That should force sellers to lower prices, simple supply and demand. But a 50-year mortgage is just a clever way to sidestep that reality by preying on financially illiterate buyers who only look at the monthly payment instead of the total cost.
A 50-year mortgage doesnât make you a homeowner. It makes you a glorified renter whoâs responsible for all the repairs and upkeep. Please donât fall for it. And remember, all the âexpertsâ pushing this idea make their living off real estate, so of course they think itâs a good thing â it makes them more money, not you.
If we deport people, rent/housing costs will go down
If we stop giving 42m people tax $ to get free food every month, the cost of food (and taxes) will go down
If there are fewer illegal immigrants here, there will be more jobs available
