Just use a Mac and SSH into your dev machine - Linux laptops have terrible battery life

All thinkpads usually pack a powerful CPU and its quite durable. Nothing more special. This product just happened to develop a cult following over the years and new folks are just following it. Many actually collect the OG thinkpads to modify and resell/collect for culture

Because they're awesome! The battery on mine went bad after I'd used it for a while, so I just bought a new one for 60 bucks. With my old Mac, this would have meant buying a whole new laptop!

They are descent machines. Tried Dell, HP, Toshiba.. They always end up being damaged one way or the other. My Lenovo just keeps grinding away. Also great support. Shipped my Lenovo across Europe for repairs once. FedEx came to pick it up at my doorstep.

I has a X1 Carbon was an incredible computer but sometimes the screen was small for me. For coding it’s not recommended but for administrative tasks it’s perfect.

Why are they using Windows????!!!! I'm only a hobbyist developer but any developer using Windows is suspicious to me. I use Fedora.

Great keyboards, legendary durability, and Linux compatibility make them a tech favorite. They're built for productivity!

You keep using that word, "everyone". I do not think it means what you think it means.

People like how easy they are to tweak and repair, not flashy but stubbornly reliable.

It helps people think. The red button induces critical thinking when pressed.
