Takes some time to get this more accessible adaptation going but once unreleased it's a diabolical party of lust & undying love through sabotage. Tessa Thompson is haunting. Nina Hoss is phenomenal & always unpredictable. Devious sound mixing & striking production design

Edward Berger over directs unable to get a hold of an engaging tale of addiction & lost souls. Its mix match style leaves its screenplay weightless. Farrell is solid while James Friend's cinematography & Volker Bertelmann's score keeps the madness intact
GOOD FORTUNE
I miss big studio comedies in theaters but this dull script only allows for three painfully unfunny lead performances. An admirable anti-capitalist/gig economy theme never grows beyond surface level & Ansari's directing is too disconnected to leave a lasting stance
