This is so critical. Views with no conversion are worthless. Literally.
What’s more valuable - high numbers or the right audience? We recently ran a small YouTube experiment to find out. Same short. Same content. The only difference: one had on-screen text, the other didn’t. Here’s what happened 👇 Version A (with text): •Fewer views •More comments •More subscribers gained •Audience: USA 🇺🇸 (our target market) Version B (no text): •More views •Fewer comments & subs •Audience: Mostly Philippines and Indonesia 🇵🇭🇮🇩 So what’s going on? At first glance, the text version looked like it was “underperforming.” But when we looked deeper, it was actually winning - just not in vanity metrics. The text made the message clearer and helped the algorithm understand who it was for. Fewer people watched, but the right people did - and they stayed, engaged, and subscribed. 👉 Key takeaway: In the end, it’s not about how many people watch - it’s about who connects. The right audience doesn’t just view your content; they respond, engage, and stick around.
