Ladakh is a border state, and its stability is crucial for national security. When the Centre had already scheduled a meeting with Ladakh representatives on 6th October to discuss statehood demands, why did sudden violence erupt 2 weeks before the meeting? CRPF vehicle was set on fire, and at least 4 people lost their lives in today's violence. It seems an attempt is being made to trigger a Gen-Z style agitation in Ladakh, inspired by what happened in Nepal. Such unrest also benefits adversaries like China and Pakistan, who have a vested interest in seeing instability along India's borders.

Agree. All should be behind bars. No leniency!

Just like Didi denies land for fencing the Bangladesh border, Wangchuk wants to become CM so he can legally stop border road constructions after getting fat payments from Chyna. This is why Ladakh should always remain a Union Territory.

Only Chinese know how to deal with such elements, all other countries are losers. We need strict surveillance state especially in border states, Xinjiang is a good model to follow

If you give anti-nationals a free hand in every conspiracy, confident that we will successfully handle them, they will continue to do so. In other countries, they would have been eliminated quietly.

It is good for GoI to take things easy with arsonists/saboteurs, to keep 'innocents' and non participants off the hook etc etc, but I feel sometimes it really hurts national interests alongwith unnecessary burden on exchequer when our progressive incumbent extends a rope too long

Yes, but for the Bjpigs, National interest is the least priority. False promises made to get to power and as usual can't fulfill them since Adani has to be happy!!

Slightly similar playbook and objectives as in Manipur riots. It’s obvious that certain forces funded these fires at border areas with volatile populations.

Exactly Ladakh isn’t just another region it’s our frontline border. When GoI had already fixed an Oct 6 meeting on statehood why this sudden Congress-led violence now. Burning CRPF vehicles 4 lives lostthis isn’t protest, it’s a planned script. Perfect timing too just what China & Pakistan would love to see instability on India’s borders.

Truth is Democracy not suiting us. SC HCs naivity, lack of concern for ever increasing criminality, poor conviction rate resulted in absence of respect and fear of Law. No effective deterrence in place. So much so inimical forces with-in making merry with frequent disruptions unnecessary protests, spreading divisive agenda Exploiting SC's Naivity.
