Imagine. Nintendo and Sony should both do this! Oh... That's right, they did like 15 years ago

I think a game where you use it for a variety of sports: golf, bowling etc. could be popular

Kinect, PS Move, and Wii all did this in the last generation. VR does this best, because the controllers have low latency.

Always loved these experiments. There were a bunch of early WebSocket demos in like ~2012 of controlling in-game airplanes and things like pong paddles between 2 devices using mobile accelerometer and tap input.

Is this done through Bluetooth or through the local network? I swear for the life of me I can't get those accelerometer APIs to work over a local connection because Apple locks it down for domains that are not HTTPS

How does it feel. Looks laggy enough to be jarring?

Wow! WII should get a MOVE on and harness this technology for games while the novelty is still fresh, and not at all 20 year old, and SWITCH it up along those SIXAXIS, er, six axes of motion!

Only 25 years since Tilt 'n Tumble, can't wait to see what amazing stuff is "invented" when you discover the EyeToy, no, Kinect, I mean camera that's built into the phone😅 piped.video/watch?v=t2BPoSS3…

Games already use the gyroscope, you just adding an extra layer for no reason.
