Stingless bees, also known as Melipona or Meliponini, are a special group of tropical bees that do not have a functional stinger.
They are gentle, highly intelligent, and produce a rare medicinal honey valued for its healing properties. Unlike regular honey bees, they build spiral or pot-shaped wax nests and can be kept safely in homes or gardens.
There are over 600 species of stingless bees worldwide!
