Making fun of our neighborhoods and communities is disgusting. Greg Bovino and his masked agents are not here to make Chicago safer. As children are tear gassed and U.S. citizens detained, they are posing for photo ops and producing reality TV moments. blockclubchicago.org/2025/11…

I’m voting NO on the CR. I have been clear on this from the beginning: I will not turn my back on the 24 million Americans who will see their premiums more than double if we don’t extend these tax credits. At a time when prices are already too high, Americans are shopping for health insurance and experiencing such sticker shock that they are being forced to sign up for a crappy, overpriced plan or not signing up for insurance at all. It means a mom will have to make the decision of whether to put her family hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt in order to pay for her cancer treatment. It is disgusting that Republicans have put the country in the place, where they are pitting working people against each other—a family at a food bank versus a family that relies on the premium tax credits to get good medical care. We can and must care about both.

The government has been shut down for 40 days—the longest in history. All Democrats have fought hard for extending the Affordable Care Act tax credits that make health care affordable for millions. I’m voting against the bill given it doesn’t extend these valuable tax credits.

This is not a deal, it’s a surrender to Trump. Senate Democrats should reject this plan that does nothing to prevent healthcare premiums from skyrocketing for millions of Americans. I’ll be a HELL NO in the House.

A 'YES' vote on this bill is very likely a vote to end the Affordable Care Act as we know it. To the Dems planning on voting for this, are you nuts?

I cannot support this budget bill because Delawareans deserve so much better. We can reopen government and tackle the health care crisis all at the same time. The only thing stopping us for months has been Republican cruelty. Doubling down on cuts to Medicaid that will leave 50,000 Delawareans without health care isn’t compromise — it’s a crisis. A bill that ignores families paying double for insurance isn’t a solution. Today and every day, I will fight to defend your health care. It’s why I ran for office and it’s why I’ll be voting no.
Full details of the deal here: - CR to Jan 30 - Promise of vote on ACA subsidies in December - minibus of bills, including preventing future RIFs and reversal of layoffs under shutdown - SNAP funded through FY26

Democrats are caving to Republicans right now on the government shutdown. A “promise” from MAGA to vote on ACA subsidies in 40 days is nothing. Why are we trusting them to live up to their side of the deal? Why aren’t they fighting harder on this? Total BS.

This is some Hunger Games bullshit. I truly do not understand how all of middle America isn’t fuming mad right now? -Grocery prices going up. -Healthcare premiums going up. -SNAP paused. -Government workers unpaid and lining up at food banks. And these assholes are having lavish parties celebrating a “golden age of Americana” There have been literal revolutions over less than whatever this dystopian oligarchy opulence bs is!

DEMOCRATS, 11 "or more" Democrats are reportedly breaking ranks and preparing to vote for Trump and against their own party and country. They are getting nothing in return. Zero gain on ACA subsidies. They are giving up everything for nothing.

As I've always said, I will not support a government funding bill that continues to raise our costs, jeopardizes our health care, and hurts the people of my state. I’m urging my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to stand up for Americans who are counting on us to lower their costs, and address the urgent, and–in too many cases–dire challenges people are facing in our country. I will not let up in this fight. I will vote no.

Pathetic. This isn’t a deal. It’s a surrender. Don’t bend the knee!
And this does absolutely zero on Obamacare. The most Democrats get is a Senate vote. After 40 days.

I’m voting no on the continuing resolution that would double healthcare premiums for 20 million Americans, kick 15 million people off Medicaid & allow 50,000 Americans to die unnecessarily every year. All to give $1 trillion in tax breaks for billionaires. x.com/i/broadcasts/1lDGLBRmA…
