After the 2024 election Democrats panicked, realizing that just about every aspect of their messaging failed because it relied on an information monopoly They realized that Trump and Vance had circumvented the mainstream media gridlock by doing podcasts with comedians and celebrities The message could no longer be tightly controlled by MSNBC and CNN, the voters were going to hear Trump and Vance directly and the media could not stop them The main panic was about young men, especially young white men, who were thoroughly disillusioned with a party that obviously hated them and blamed them for every social ill The Dems even launched a project with tens of millions of dollars in funding to try to establish new media figures who could appeal to young men This was ultimately a failure because the left does truly hate young men, they refused to listen or address the issues they face They basically just said, well men are evil and will just have to change, we refuse to treat them as people worthy of our consideration Mainstream conservatism does not have quite the same level of hatred for young white men, but it is still definitely there Whether they will admit it or not conservative elites take all their status signals from liberal elites, so they generally hate the same people but just at a lower intensity Even for the conservative leader, young white men are considered a low status group who are dangerous to cater to So now, the same disintermediation that destroyed the left political ecosphere has come for conservative media It isn't Fox News, talk radio, and a few internet platforms that hold a monopoly on conservative thought anymore People can and will discover ideas on Info Wars or Tucker Carlson or a thousand other platforms that you don't like, and running around trying to censor all of them will be just as futile as it was when the left tried it You don't have to like that, you don't have to approve of who they talk to, but it is happening If mainstream conservatives want to have any relevance going forward they will need to speak to the issues that young men face, yes even the white ones, and no telling them to just work harder and take responsibility is not sufficient Now is the time to recognize this, or your conservative think tank will be paying some obese women $20 million to tell you why it's okay to hate young men and dismiss them
