Them chasing Shrek mimicked the OJ Simpson car chase. They planted catnip on Puss, mimicking drug plants by police in real life. Donkey yells "police brutality" when pinned down by the police since Eddie Murphy who voices donkey is black. In other scenes, Pinocchio moonwalks 😂

Good catch. In this same part, there was a scene where Puss in boots mentioned he hates Mondays. This was a reference to Garfield statement that he hates Mondays too. When I rewatched the movie I noticed that. S. Writers are smart lol.
