A few things I hope are gradually getting through to the general public: * “Be kind” is a good thing to say to your children. As a principle of public policy, however, it signifies a lack of seriousness and a refusal to get informed and take difficult decisions. * It is impossible to support “LGBTQ+ rights”. The demands of people who claim to be the opposite sex are diametrically opposed to the rights of people with same-sex sexual orientation. * Telling people who think they are the opposite sex - and who want hormones and surgery to change their bodies - that they are not mentally ill is cruel and irresponsible. It makes it harder for them to get the mental health care they need and places a huge burden on society, especially women and girls and LGB people. * The replacement of “Women’s Studies” with “Gender Studies” at universities has created a generation of graduates in a pseudo-discipline with less coherence than astrology and has obscured the foundations and history of the feminist movement. * “Gender identity” is a sexist, homophobic concept that needs to be consigned to the dustbin of history asap.

I'd even quibble with telling your children to be kind. Stand up for yourself and others, I say.

I always taught my children to watch out for bullying in any form and to oppose it. That’s what I mean.

Explain the last one? Didn't certain other groups have non-traditional gender systems? (EX: the Muxe) I'm down to learning new things, so don't think I'm being dismissive

People are born either male or female (yes, even the 0.018% of people with DSDs that call for further tests). Whether someone is male or female should not constrain their behaviour, career prospects, mode of dress etc. It is absolutely fine to ignore all such sex-based constraints and be what is called “gender non-conforming”. That doesn’t make you the opposite sex or some in-between sex! Everyone has a unique personality, including traits traditionally described as “masculine” and traits traditionally described as “feminine”. “Gender identity” is a reactionary, redundant label.

Don't forget the corporate delivery system EDI/DEI. The eradicating of critical social justice is an ongoing fight.

We need some politicians with backbone. Author @DouglasKMurray says "Do not extend tolerance to groups who do not extend tolerance back to Westerners". This is in the context of the Hamas/Israel conflict, but the principle is the same.

My MP has a huge banner in his window ordering his constituents to 'Be Kind'. Its about 7foot by four. The temptation to brick it is strong. Does no one know about reverse psychology anymore?

Can't argue with any of that. People need to steer away from the whole 'rights' issue and start addressing the underlying nonsense, the belief that humans have a magical thing called 'gender'. Once people understand that's rubbish, everything else collapses.

"needs to be consigned to the dustbin of history" ... again. Gender Ideology = Eugenics. Not 'like' eugenics. It *is* neo-eugenics. Conceived of, funded and promoted by the descendants and dynasties of the families that pushed it 100 years ago.

Yes. Apart from its technical use in linguistics and teaching languages everything to do with "gender" needs to go.

'Be kind' was the third gamete. The worst example of emotional special pleading fallacy we ever saw. It's dead now. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Given that you are wrong on all counts its astonishing that any of your messaging is getting through. You demand society warp to your framing, through legal tantrums when it doesn't, and still continue despite all evidence to the contrary of your position.

all of this—but especially the replacement of Women’s Studies with gender studies having created a discipline with less coherence than astrology.

Yes. And also consider that only harassment on the grounds of ‘gender identity’ and not sex is in policies at some universities.

I'm sorry but Women's studies are the same problem as gender studies, feminists were already doing "Marxist feminist analyses" and anticapitalist pro-socialist ideas since the 1970s. Patriarchy is a metaphysical idea more than an anthropological .

You can't 'be kind' if there are no boundaries. You can only be a doormat.

I'll go one further. They didn't just do away w Women's Studies. They also refocused future med care professionals to the Gender care. A PA I know decided to shift her studies to GA, not Women's care bc the high cost of liability ins. It's cheaper to get a ins. for Gen Care.

You think that all trans people are "mentally ill"?

As a 1970s feminist and c!s woman - I disagree with you on all counts. You sound like the equivalent of a racist/homophobe/misogynist from bygone days. Society is changing; trans people have always been here. They are just more visible now, just like gay/lesbian people in 1980s

Be kind but be honest is the best advice to give children. And maybe adults too.

Gender identity is here to stay. Nothing can be done about it. What can be done, is to prevent the erasure of biological sex. Children need to learn the importance of it. My granddaughters in built wariness of boys and men has now kicked in, since b4 school, even more so now.

Boundaries first, then kindness. Personal boundaries and societal boundaries. And boundaries need defending.

My mom never told me to be kind. She always said be “thoughtful and considerate”.

One phrase I can't stand is 'always be kind' & people imposing the mantra onto children. Why would you tell vulnerable kids to be kind in every possible situation, including when they're being bullied, intimidated or assaulted?
Replying to @BevJacksonAuth
Very well said. Got yourself a new follower.

Telling children to be kind and - in particular - be "inclusive" is one of the worst parenting fails of all time. Exclusion is a GOOD thing. Boundaries are healthy and critical to safety. Teach that instead, parents.

But is there any evidence that they are getting through? I fear not.
