🚨🇺🇸 WHERE'S CORNYN? TEXAS SENATOR IS HOLDING UP SHUTDOWN ENDGAME
It's a real-life "Where's Waldo?" thriller on Capitol Hill; the Senate's pivotal vote to bust the 40-day government shutdown filibuster is stalled at 59 yeses.
All eyes are on lone holdout Sen. John Cornyn as he races from a delayed Austin flight landing at Dulles Airport to cast the magic 60th ballot.
Cornyn was in his home state, Nov. 9, filing for 2026 re-election in Austin during primary buzz, then allegedly hopped American Airlines Flight 376 from Austin-Bergstrom (AUS) to Dulles (IAD).
But delays pushed touchdown to 9:50 p.m. ET, per flight trackers and DC reporters confirming he's "en route from Dulles now."
That's a 40+ minute haul to the Capitol in traffic, leaving colleagues twiddling thumbs as the tally freezes.
Expect a yes from the pragmatic Texan on the bipartisan CR (funding to Jan. 30, ACA vote in Dec, firing flips).
If he makes it, shutdown over; if not, Day 41 beckons. Clock's ticking, Waldo... er, Cornyn, hustle!
