#GTA6 just moved to 2026. Most call it a delay.
I call it a gravitational shift.
A week ago we, @LiquidSwords, dropped 10 sec of city footage and half of the Internet said “Dude! That looks like GTA4!” GOOD. That means you LOOKED.
When giants move, the ground shakes. That’s not competition. That’s opportunity.

#TruthBomb That’s why I always say that every game released is a victory. Doesn’t matter if you’re a one-person indie game or a 3k GTA game. So much heart, soul and energy goes into that game.
It really did. It helped us set the tone early. Then over time, the market conditions have changed and we’ve improvised, adapted and overcome the challenges. The result; a more focused experience.
It all started here; a lone figure in a dive bar. What began as something vast has evolved into a more deliberate, crafted experience. This is where our story truly begins; the first step in a world we’ll keep shaping with focus, conviction, and heart.

Me and my team pitched Contraband back in 2017 to MSFT (and signed it). It's changed quite a lot since then obviously, but it would have been fantastic to see it being released one day somehow. #JC5 would be a no-go since extremely few from the original team are there still.
Another weekend scoop from us! Avalanche's cancelled "Contraband" screenshots unearthed, showcasing the UI and game details.

This one is so scary. It was, in fact, the original plot for @justcause 2. ”An evil dictator threatens to set off an underwater nuclear explosion to wipe out the western US sea border.” Well, that didn’t make it into the game as you all know.

If you’d like to comment, I’ve shut off the ability to do so here. Please comment on LinkedIn instead. Who knows? Perhaps we’ll meet IRL one day?

We could have made a Call of Duty open world game back in 2008 at Avalanche (with DICE as our neighbors). We could also have made a 007 game. We said no. Perhaps we should have been less proud? Shit happens.
Is even the definition AAA relevant any more? For over 30 years making games it’s been a constant debate what is AAA or not. We are passed that and we should flush those definitions down the toilet.
