As a non-apple user: this seems like it was a major downgrade. Did this bother folks, or is it a non-issue?

Some people just love knowing what mode their phone’s in without even turning it on. OnePlus did the same, replaced the Alert Slider with something similar called the Plus Key

There’s been an active campaign to devalue his power in the tech industry. You’re a part of it. What a weird thing to pick at.

he meant the iphone will retain a tactile piece of hardware that serves the function. he even specified “yeah you can do it with software but”

The mute switch still exists in the action button? We all know what he really meant, that a switch of sorts to mute the phone would at least exist for the next 5 years. Technically the action button is still a mute switch And he isn’t wrong, it definitely isn’t going anywhere

I want the old switch back. The new one inadvertently turns on so many times, and you miss important calls.

Hardware buttons and switches are so nice. I miss it.

Hot Take: Mecha Tim Apple will run 8GB of RAM in his phones well into the year 3075 and you'll have to pay a tax for owning such a relic. Pasta Bake: Tensor and Snapdragon will allow portal travel by then.

Yeah, it’s stupid. Now it’s just a button on that very left Home Screen.
