Submitted from St. Paul:
"Just had an insane run-in with officers at one of my properties. Last night, the next door neighbor threatened to shoot up my business and my staff. The scary part is this dude is connected to one of my staff members who died a few months ago — so emotions have already been high around here. My staff is terrified. This guy keeps storming in, screaming, threatening to hurt people — completely unstable. To top it off he has been extremely hostile that we will not hire him as he needs money. There are other things here that I cannot share at this time.

UPDATE 11/9: The person in question already has a pending court hearing THIS WEEK in a different county for disorderly conduct and violence against peace officer charges. Let THAT sink in.
UPDATE 11/9: Police responded to an additional incident with this individual at our place of business. The video is attached in the comments. We were in the middle of an interview with a new employee as we spotted him, making a dash for the entrance. We were able to defuse the situation ourselves as my manager protected myself as I called 911. A trespass was unsuccessfully issued, and the police sergeant’s advice during the last incident was maybe have your staff and yourself park at the other side of your parking lot so you don’t upset him further, as he’s a super angry guy?!!

The staff member who died — we were secretly helping her get her own place, and when the neighbor found out she was going to move out and he’d lose her SS rental money, she died two days before she was supposed to move out from his house.
When Saint Paul Police showed up today, two of the officers actually told us, “Don’t call us again.” After my repeated frustration. Not only that — we’ve had other officers harassing my staff on other occasions.
Like… what? We’ve got a neighbor next door making death threats, saying he’s going to kill us, and the police told us not to call them anymore — that they’ll “only address it when he’s on the property.” Well he’s been back multiple times even after being told not to come back on the property - the police want us to literally detain him there so they can get on site so we all can be together like one big happy family. It takes them hours to respond - So I’m supposed to tell this crazy maniac.. Please sit down while we wait for the police. You can act crazy again when they arrive?!!
We’ve got videos of this guy doing horrible things. I told the officers if we hand those over and he finds out, he’s going to kill one of us. Their response? “Don’t call us again.” As they stormed off the property.
This guy’s dangerous, and my team’s lives are literally being threatened.
Just last week, I had a female staff member hiding in the bathroom barricaded because she was terrified of these juveniles and the cops wouldn’t show up. They said she’s on her own. Good luck!
Unreal. I have contemplated posting this, but I am sick and tired of the bullshit in this city and it needs to change.
NOTE: I’d like to add that yes because of the last three years of issues with the ST PAUL PD, we do now have our own security detail that works with us, but his life should never be on the line.
If I were to ever die from lack of protection from these officers. Don't let anyone forget! I will always fight to protect my GREAT staff, GREAT local customers and see if change comes under Representative Kaohly Vang Her as newly elected Mayor. I invite her to sit down with me as owner of so many commerical properties in her city and discuss the abundance of outstanding items. She leads by the tagline 'Open for Business.' so let’s see if that’s true or not! Because right now, St. Paul is CLOSED for business."
