Lot of silliness floating around about the Bible and Nicaea. Unfortunately @RealAdamAllred repeats a lot of that here. But I think we should all take Adam’s advice when he says that we should “be honest with ourselves and start listening to the truth that is behind it, and if you doubt me, do your own research.” Hopefully this is an encouragement for Adam to take his own advice in this particular topic.
So a Protestant discovers Nicea and thinks he should still be Protestant?

Surprise, surprise. Nicea was neither EO or RCC; the Protestant Reformers quoted the church fathers, especially Augustine quite thoroughly for their beliefs. Sometime, read through the debates between Luther and Eck, Calvin and Sadoleto. Who was pope between 1309-1377?

Surprise, surprise.. the Protestant reformers never claimed the fathers as their own… most especially Augustine, calling him a papist! You talking about the Avignon Papacy? Come back bro when you got something better.. oh 318 bishops were at Nicea, not sola scriptura.

It's not an overnight thing for all people. He's taking steps in the right direction.
