Trump wants Senate Republicans to remain firm on not extending the ACA subsidies to millions of Americans who need healthcare coverage
Republicans know the optics of refusing families coverage isn't a good look if they want to stay in office and keep their constituents alive
The shutdown is causing Americans to go hungry - They know it’s time to relent and ignore Trump but they are looking for a way to save face
All of this could have been avoided if Republicans had negotiated with Democrats months ago
Republicans in both houses of Congress need to rethink their current leadership - They need strong individuals who can handle Trump with strength
