In 2010, TRON: Legacy was slammed by all when it first released, but is now suddenly loved by many who wish the franchise had continued. Don’t let history repeat itself, go watch Tron Ares in a premium format before you regret it when it’s gone.

Perfect example of a small bubble online not being enough irl. It's fine for people to like what they like... but maybe the studios will catch on not to spend $180 million (plus marketing) on such a niche franchise. This is "strike 3" for the franchise.

I do admit that the budget could’ve been lower for the franchise. The Creator had a budget of $80M and is still such a beautiful looking film.

There seem to be so many activists against this movie. There's anti-AI, anti-SJW, anti-Disney, and lastly, anti-Jared Leto. The only point that I will agree with is that the characters are less fleshed out than Legacy but that doesn't warrent this much hate for Tron Ares overall

I dont understand this revisionist history - Tron Legacy was NOT "slammed by all" It made 410 million during its box office run with 170 million production cost. It was an OK and fun movie. Why are you acting this way or saying this? I don't understand the motive.

It was super cool. The effects in this one are flawless and there's some really exciting edge of your seat scenes. What's not to love. Can't keep playing it safe and recycling the same tropes. I love what this one did and I want more.

I distinctly recall watching Tron: Legacy in Brooklyn for the second time and watching the audience members grow to appreciate its nuance and entity as opposed to comparing it so much to the original. As cool as it was when Tron first came out, its sequel and standalone continuation, was given a proper chance and respected because it was made by filmmakers who love the craft. Ares deserves that same chance.

As a Tron fan I'm just happy to get a movie tbh , this was well done imo and is hated just like the legacy , critics are too hard for no reason at all , watch the movie it's really good if they make a 2nd part I believe it'll be even better than the 1st due to cliffhanger end

Weakest of the three. I preferred Tron: Legacy but it was watchable enough.

No, Tron Legacy was a bigger deal in 2010. There was a life-like viral gaming compagin leading up to the release of Legacy . Even the Disney theme parks hosted "ElecTRONIca" for a limited time. TRON ARES is "The Last Jedi" of the franchise.

It's a 6/10 movie!! But it's worth every second, even with half-baked writing. Show Disney that we care, and they'll think it through, people!

Exactly I went in with low expectations but loved it! Definitely an experience film not to be missed on the big screen with the music and visuals hitting so hard. The audience score blowing the other Tron films out of the water tell the whole story.

Saw it a few hours ago. It was good to see the old grid and have the classic sounds, too.

I watch this in IMAX 3D and it honestly was incredible. This ain't the Shawshank Redemption, but the score, sound, and visuals were spectacular.

I saw Legacy in theatres and have always loved it. I'm not seeing this garbage, man. Maybe if they'd actually followed up on the movie I saw 15 years ago, I'd care more.
