i have always loved research
it gives soo much knowledge, and knowledge is freedom
but yesterday during the
@MagnetXDao TG class, i realized that research is deeper that what i knew
and the craziest part is, it gives more knowledge and understanding than i thought
here's a brief recap of what i learnt from our session with
@bigray0x
1. understand what youβre looking for
we hear βDYORβ every day, but most people donβt even know what it really means. in full, DYOR is do your own research and means that you should check
β’ who funded the project
β’ whoβs behind it
β’ if theyβve done anything before (good or bad)
β’ if the funding is real
β’ whatβs coming next (testnet, quest, etc)
2. he listed some tools that makes βDYORβ easier like
β’ cryptorank[.]io to show fundraising data, token unlocks & vesting which might not be always verified
but this takes us to the next tool
β’ crypto-fundraising[.]info serves same purpose, but with better verification. it helps you track which VC backed which project, and if a founderβs been involved in scammy stuff before
β’ crt[.]sh tracks new domains being registered. projects often register domains before launch (testnets, quests, airdrop sites)
just type the domain name like this - https://crt[.]sh/?q=union[.]build to confirm
β’ linkedin can also be used to check the founderβs background and youβll be shocked how many βnewβ projects are led by old failed founders
β’ of course, x where most projects create accounts before even raising
you can follow smart researchers, watch who they follow, and youβll start seeing alphas early
β’ blogs & media to crosscheck every funding announcement because not every β$10M raiseβ headline is real. stick with trusted media only.
3. finding a project early is cool, but contributing early is what pays off long-term and you can do that by
β’ discord contributions
join early, help moderate, organize, or assist the team before official hires. build genuine relationships too
β’ x contributions
share verified info, educate others, post guides or funding updates. consistent early posting can attract rewards
β’ github contributions
as a developer, you can contribute code, build tools, or join private ceremonies. this is a high visibility contribution
this is how people find testnets before they launch, get referral edges, and even earn early rewards
research smartly. contribute early. build relationships
thatβs the alpha
thank you,
@elvis_analyst and
@MagnetXDao for this amazing session
thank you,
@bigray0x for not holding back while teaching
Last night was absolutely mind-blowing.
Everyone who joined the class can testify; the energy, the insights, the clarity.
We had 97 live listeners, all tuned in and learning how to spot early projects and sharpen their edge in the space.
And from last night, it got even clearer that research isnβt just reading,
itβs verifying, connecting dots, and contributing early.
Those who do this gain first-hand alpha, build meaningful relationships, and often end up earning rewards along the way.
If you missed itβ¦ thatβs tough.
But donβt worry, more impactful sessions are coming.

Have an amazing week ahead, Magnets. π§²
