I’m having so much fun building a web app in pure Go, HTMX and Tailwind! I was tired of frameworks and dependency hell, so decided to give this simple “stack” a Go (😂) Just standard lib, SQLite driver and that’s it! KISS 👌 This is how simple my routing looks now 👇

My DIY NAS backup to Hetzner is doing well too 👀 In the meantime, I’d be broke and down on AWS 😝
Guess who’s not down 👀

$99 for lifetime is a steal! I got mine when it was more expensive, and it was still well worth it. If you’re into solopreneurship, you won’t find this combination of value anywhere else! Packed with helpful video lectures, tips and genuine sharing with like-minded peeps. You won’t regret it :-)
Small Bets' current price of $99 goes up to $450 tomorrow. With Gumroad's ownership, we're making a significant investment into Small Bets, and we're setting a price that's more commensurate with its value. Small Bets is already the best place for new and aspiring entrepreneurs to discuss ideas, get feedback, share wins, and help each other. And over the next few weeks, we're bringing you even more support on speed dial for just about every aspect of your entrepreneurial journey. So if you've been on the fence, this is the last chance to join 7,162 other amazing people at the amazing price of $99 instead of $450. One-time payment, and no recurring fees, ever. And since this is a lifetime deal, you'll reap all future benefits! smallbets.com/join See you inside!

Politics has no place in open-source, or workplace for that matter. @dhh is an amazing developer and human being, and he's done and continues to do so many good, kind, and inspiring things for others, free of charge. Those who blame him for having some views that differ from theirs, should look in the mirror. We're ALL human beings, ALL opinionated, and there's truly no "right" or "wrong", apart from very few areas. This is not one of them. Imagine a world where we'd all have to walk on shards of glass all the damn time, constantly wary of someone else's ire on some matter. I don't think anyone would want to live in a world like that. I would even call such a world (and people promoting it) truly EVIL. Please keep it civil and away from such time-wasting and attention-grabbing dramas. We're ALL better off without them.
A group of Lefist Activists are pushing for the Ruby on Rails project to remove the project’s founder (@dhh) because they claim he “holds racist and transphobic views” and “other traits undesirable”. This group, which compares themselves to the French resistance during WWII, is also demanding the adoption of a “modern Code of Conduct”. github.com/Floppy/plan-vert-…

This is how truly ambitious projects start 👇 Not with dreams of $1B revenue, 1000x-ing what currently exists, or courses to teach you how to hit $100K MRR in 2 days.. Just pure excitement, childish curiosity, and a healthy dose of humbleness. Happy Birthday to your brainchild Linus, the OG shipper! 🥳

Projects like Omarchy make us more excited humans! Tbh I think that's really part of the appeal of Omarchy for so many ppl switching from a Mac – they just got completely and utterly BORED from working with it over the years. There's nothing new on a Mac, nothing that really scratches that insatiable dev itch to always tweak something about their environment 😂 Only through taking a birds-eye view at macOS UI, it becomes apparent just how much restrictive it really is, it just doesn't want us to fundamentally tweak it the way we want. One has to fight with its many limitations, rather than be free.. And then the only thing we can do is pray and wait on Apple to pretty please someday making what we want maybe? Please?? 🥹
I've been thinking about whether someone would do this! The 11" Air was the last MacBook I truly loved. Glorious keyboard travel, superb size. I have mad respect for M-series machines, but this Air was magic. Omarchy Air 🤘

Ppl wake up and the first thing they see after opening eyes is a screen.  Then they go eat breakfast, stare at a bigger screen, kiss their kids and drop them off at a school while starting at another screen. On the way to work they alternate between starting at one screen and another bigger screen. Then they sit in front of an even bigger screen for 8 hours. On the way from work they nervously stare at a small screen trying to get back home as soon as they can, so they could stare at a much bigger screen. Then they sacrifice a few hours of quality sleep so that they could stare at a tiny screen again. Omg, why do we have loneliness epidemic 🤔

GPT-5 is certainly.. a piece of work 😂
The essential read on why the flop of GPT5 means so much more than AI companies admit and could be a wake-up-call for all who bought into the hype. Yes, Gary Marcus was right.
