Ooooh we're so getting that Naru sequel

People have had enough of biased reporting like this. Predator made about $10.45 million opening night in 1987, which is close to $30 million adjusted for inflation and sold far more tickets.

Prey (which was released directly to streaming on Hulu) and Badlands were both directed by Dan Trachtenberg, and the massive critical and audience acclaim for Prey is credited with revitalizing the entire franchise and driving the massive audience turnout for Badlands, which is Trachtenberg's first Predator film released on the big screen.

you know you've made a good movie when even the galaxy's deadliest hunter has to take a knee and admire the view

Based on estimated ticket sales for each movie, that honor belongs to Alien vs Predator. Badlands is 2nd and the OG Predator is 3rd.

Not if you adjust for inflation you clowns: Predator = $27,770,000 Predator 2 = $15,060,000 Predators = $15,490,000 The Predator = $13,450,000 Predator: Badlands = $15,600,000 That's opening day. Also Ticket prices when Predator came out averaged at (An inflation adjusted, so comparable to the other numbers here) $11.20 The average movie ticket now is $16.08 So Predator sold about 2,479,464 tickets for opening day. Predator Badlands sold about 970,149 Predator sold 2.56 times as many tickets as Predator: Badlands. Interestingly, the ticket prices when Predator 2 came out actually come to a lower inflation adjusted total of $10.27 per ticket. So Predator 2 sold about 1,466,407 tickets. That's 1.5 times the amount of tickets sold for Predator Badlands. I really can't be bothered to do the other movies, but the only one I can see selling less actual tickets is The Predator and it's probably real close. Lol. But keep on with the pretending this is a big hit.

Predator: Badlands production budget of $105m, is the most expensive film in the Predator franchise to date. Which means it will need to make 2.5 x budget or $263m just to break even.

15.6M opening day for Predator: Badlands is wild, proof that people still show up for brutal alien chaos when it’s done right. Hollywood keeps remaking nostalgia, but this one actually ate.

I made my dad take me to opening day of Predator 2. It was a big group of my brothers friends, one of their fathers, my dad and myself. Everyone else went to see Memphis belle and I made my dad take me to P2. I made the right choice.

I just saw the movie with my dad and my 10 year-old brother fantastic. We all gave an 8 to 8.5 out of 10. It honestly is a family friendly movie. If your kids play video games, they’ve seen much worse than anything. This movie has great movie. I’d say probably for ages 8+

Lots of incredibly cool scenes but it felt like parts that were supposed to be serious were ruined by inserting comedy where it didn't belong. Way too much talking but overall a passable movie. This Predator unfortunately feels very marvel-ized.

Let’s go!! This movie was freaking awesome and honestly caught me off guard and was going into this movie with low expectation, but it really had me entertained the whole time. Go see it if you haven’t people.

This is the best Predator movie I’ve seen. That’s not recency bias either. The world building, the story, the recurring themes. It’s an outstanding film.
