HELL YES—Eli Lilly CEO now admit the #insulin tweet flap “probably” signals they need to bring down cost. Twitter trolling is working. As I reported—@LillyPad execs went into full raging panic when the “free insulin” fake tweet went out. Keep pressure on! arstechnica.com/science/2022…

If only to keep pushing for lower insulin prices… it’s worth staying on Twitter. Cuz we need to hit @LillyPad at every turn, as well as pressure @sanofi @Diabetes_Sanofi and @novonordisk to stop price gouging insulin.
UPDATE—Just learned that Eli Lilly executives are raging and furious at losing $20 billion in market cap from this stunt with @TwitterBlue. It’s too bad they don’t see their own damn insulin price gouging as the actual problem. Karma @LillyPad, karma.

You know what’s 100x worse than price of gas? Price gouging on insulin that gets people killed.

4) Don’t get mad about gas ⛽️ prices. Get raging mad and serious about insulin price gouging.

Also let’s not forget all those in congress who voted against insulin price caps.
Insulin was discovered and patent gifted for $1 over 100 years ago. It saves lives. It should be free, or capped at most $35/month. Yet, 193 Republicans voted against capping the price of insulin, which now easily costs $1000+/month. Never forget.

There are barbaric crimes against humanity committed by big insulin makers every day. Parents are literally choosing between food on the table vs insulin for their children. This cannot go on… especially when it’s such a readily available drug that’s cheap to make.
ATROCIOUS big pharma price gouging of insulin: This crying mother can’t afford the $1000 for her son’s insulin. 📌yet, it only costs pharma $5 to produce. 📌Insulin was invented 100 years ago by Fred Banting—who donated patent for $1 to make it free for all. Let that sink in.

Eli Lilly = Martin Shkreli. Prove me wrong @LillyPad.
Replying to @DrEricDing
12) In the world of drugs, do NOT be a Martin Shkreli or Eli Lilly… ➡️be a Jonas Salk (polio shot inventor) and Frederick Banting (insulin inventor). 💡Salk and Banting both donated their invention for **free** for all mankind. Saving lives should be paramount >>> profit.

I will never get over that some hero with a spare $8 cost Eli Lilly billions by crashing their stock price

It's not the problem of costs, it's a price problem. They overcharge their product, because of greed.

And now we can go after the cost of an Epi-Pen.

Oh, hey look!

Keep Eli Lilly trending, and their stock crashing, and their only strategy will be to cauterize the bleed. It won’t become free but they’ll be forced to negotiate to an extent.

Well it’s taken a bit of time for that message to finally sink in. What a pig of a human being to have hiked the price in the first place!
5
“Probably” doesn’t take a business or medical degree to know it is

Even if not free, affordable without insurance! Absurd the amount written off with insurance. It’s criminal.
2
Pharma and insurance companies need to be regulated more.

Bad PR > Death.
