People who know me well understand that I’m not the type to involve myself in cliques, groups, or whatever they may be called.
I believe that once we start forming such circles, whatever we do stops being organic, it becomes influenced by the fact that we belong to that clique.
Yes, some people can’t do without being part of groups or cliques, and that’s fine. But what many don’t realize is that this is often where bias and favoritism begin, and those things will always divide people, whether we like it or not.
In the end, do whatever works for you.
I have been on this app for over 10 years, but I just learnt a couple of things recently, that maybe, I wasn’t paying attention to.
Before, I just tweet, engage as many people as possible, goof around, and bounce. I didn’t pay attention to my engagement, didn’t even know the people that interacted with me, and how this app worked.
It was just recently that I discovered that this app is like the Nigerian system - man know man. There are a lot of cliques and groups here that if you are not part of them, no matter how good your contents are, or how well you interact with their own contents, they will never reciprocate.
Guess my usage started the day I got the blue tick.
That being said, I’m going to grow this account and have it become a very influential one on this app. I’m going to lift as many people as possible along with me
