The Embassy of Israel in the United Kingdom takes note of the resignations of BBC Director-General Tim Davie and BBC News CEO Deborah Turness. These resignations come in the wake of serious and long-standing concerns about the BBC’s biased and deeply flawed coverage of Israel, particularly during the war against Hamas.
For years, we have repeatedly warned about the BBC’s consistent failures to uphold the standards of accuracy, impartiality, and integrity expected from a public broadcaster. The BBC’s reporting, especially by BBC Arabic, has too often distorted reality, omitted vital context, and provided a platform for antisemitic and extremist narratives. This failure has contributed to public misinformation, hostility towards Israel and Jewish people, and, tragically, to the radicalisation of audiences in the UK and across the Middle East.
We hope that this moment will serve as a turning point. The BBC must seize this opportunity to restore public trust by ensuring fair, factual, and balanced coverage of Israel and the Middle East. Accountability and transparency must replace denial and defensiveness.
We call for full accountability for those responsible for the editorial failings of BBC Arabic and for full reform to ensure that its future reporting meets the standards expected of the BBC.
Israel values the role of a free and responsible press. It is our sincere hope that, under new leadership, the BBC will recommit itself to those principles and rebuild a relationship with its audiences, based on truth, integrity, and respect.

Anne de Gaulle was the youngest daughter of General Charles de Gaulle.
She was born in Trier, Germany, where her father was stationed with the Army of Occupation in the Rhineland.
She was born with Down Syndrome and in a time where disabled children were sent to institutions, she lived with her family until her death.There was one sacred rule in the de Gaulle household: Anne was never to be made to feel different or less than anyone else. Charles de Gaulle was noted for his reserve and even with family members he was usually not very demonstrative. Not so with his daughter Anne, who received a warmth that he had seemed to be storing for his entire life just for her. He would entertain her with songs, dances, and pantomimes, he would often act as a child himself for her joy. One Colombey resident recalled how he used to walk with her hand-in-hand around the property, caressing her and talking quietly about the things she understood. She was, he said simply, "My joy. She helped me overcome the failings in all men, and to look beyond them".
In 1948, Anne succumbed to pneumonia, a month after her 20th birthday and died in her father's arms. Upon her death, weeping, her father said: "Now, she's like the others."
On 22 August 1962, Charles de Gaulle was the victim of an attempted assassination at Petit-Clamart. He later said that the potentially fatal bullet had been stopped by the frame of the photograph of Anne that he always carried with him, placed this particular day on the rear shelf of his car.
When he died on November 9th 1970, he was buried in the cemetery of Colombey beside his beloved daughter.
She could only utter one word clearly in her entire life: "Papa"

The resignation of its top leadership after manipulating Trump’s Jan 6 speech didn’t expose a new problem, it confirmed an old one.
This is no longer journalism.

I’ve seen this with my own eyes and I think at some stage our government, our media have to decide, do they want to believe this Israeli propaganda for which there is no evidence and for which many claims have been disproved…
Or do they want to believe the testimony of people like me and many other healthcare workers who’ve got no political agenda, no axe to grind.
We are humanitarians. We go out there to save lives, to treat people, and we are simply reporting what we are seeing.’

A new theory from Dr. Gunther Kletetschka at the University of Alaska Fairbanks suggests time doesn’t flow along a single line – it unfolds in three dimensions, just like space. In this view, space itself isn’t fundamental at all. Instead, it’s a byproduct of multi-dimensional time – the “paint” on a canvas made of time.
Kletetschka’s framework proposes six dimensions in total: three of time and three of space. And unlike many abstract theories, this one makes concrete, testable predictions – including precise calculations of particle masses like electrons, muons, and quarks. That’s a big deal, since particle mass has long been one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in physics.
