Thank you Liam Neeson for continuing to raise your powerful voice for children around the world, including South Sudan.
As funding cuts threaten children's rights to nutrition, education and safety, we call on decision-makers to prioritize investments for children.👇
“The world cannot turn its back on children like those I met in South Sudan.”
During his recent visit to South Sudan, UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Liam Neeson met children whose lives have been impacted by climate change, poverty, and insecurity.
He witnessed how communities are working tirelessly to support children and how UNICEF, donors and partners are providing life-saving services:
For children like Augustino, a 14-month-old whose mother receives cash transfers to help care for him.
Like Eliana, 3 months, who was vaccinated against polio.
Like Lual, 7 months, who is being treated for severe acute malnutrition.
But in South Sudan and around the world, global funding cuts are threatening these life-saving programmes.
UNICEF will continue to stay and deliver for children, but we need decision-makers across the world to invest urgently in children's rights and well-being.
