💯 messages for 💯 races To celebrate Lando’s 100th race in COTA this weekend, fans from all over the world have sent in messages looking back at the past 100 races and saying what Lando means to them🫶🏻 I hope you like it🧡 drive.google.com/file/d/1DD0…
People taking this as an insult. I see it as the complete opposite 😂 My driver got pole, didn’t put a foot wrong, controlled the race and won and that’s seen as normal and expected. HELL YEAH! More of that in the remaining races please!!

I used to pray for days like this. Where you see Lando at the start and then he drives off into the distance and only seen again when he pits and crosses the finish line. And even better - where everyone has gotten used to him winning that it’s not a surprise or a story.

It’s been a year now and people still act ignorant with “won because of luck”😂😂 this has been debunked enough times that anyone still going on about it are just doing it for an agenda
Replying to @maxwdc33
After the whole “he won because of luck” having the audacity to say that about him 🤣🤣🤣

Honestly, saying stuff like this ain’t it. This is the drivers title, not the Ballon d’Or. It’s sport, deserving doesn’t guarantee you anything. You’re well within your right to feel a driver performed better than the rest but no need to use it to take from others’ achievements.
A McLaren driver will win the title but there is only one guy who deserves to be the World Champion this year.

The worst kind of fans. They can never just celebrate and focus on their own driver’s race. Lando didn’t put a foot wrong the entire weekend. Was P1 in every session and never lost the net race lead. What a miserable bunch.
and he highkey has

No one had a problem when Lando didn’t finish on the podium and McLaren only put Oscar’s name. Funny how people only care when it’s the other way around. Trying so hard to push this “McLaren favours Lando and hates Oscar” gimmick
Even FERRARI put Carlos on the board in Monza last year you people are nauseous

How it felt waking up today as a Lando fan
Max/ Red Bull fans - if you were to guess: how much time do you think was gained with the set up changes from Saturday to Sunday

What a lot of people don’t understand is that a team can’t just protest a penalty on the basis that they disagree with it. In order to protest the penalty they have to present new information/ footage that wasn’t available to the stewards at the time the decision was made. Also you can’t protest a penalty half way through the race and just - not serve the penalty. That would count as a penalty not served and then he’ll just end up with a penalty on top of his existing one.

My attention and focus has obviously been on Lando today. But I do want to give credit where credit is due that was a phenomenal drive by Max today. The way he is able is make his way through the field and not get stuck behind a car for long will always be impressive.

1.) Everyone with eyes could see the Red Bull was the fastest car today 2.) If the McLaren was the fastest car that makes it even worse for YOUR driver who finished P5 behind 2 guys in a slower car and a guy you think is in a slower car who started from the pit lane.
“i didn’t think that we were the fastest on track today.” can he stop with the underdog bullshit and accept the fact that he does indeed have the fastest car, it’s fucking annoying at this point

Max was 15 seconds behind the lead after 15 laps and finished the race 10 seconds behind despite going through traffic yet it’s apparently controversial to say the Red Bull was the fastest car today and that Max would have won if he started at the front???
Sure McLaren were the ones who made him crash in Baku Quali, McLaren were the ones who made him then jump the start, McLaren were the ones who made him crash into the wall, McLaren were the ones who made him take himself and his teammate out in COTA, McLaren were the ones who made him lose two places at the start in Mexico, McLaren were the ones who made him crash in the sprint and the McLaren were the ones who made him get a ten second time penalty. This constant blaming of McLaren while taking zero accountability for your driver is getting old.
mclaren are working so hard to make oscar lose the championship you’d never believe he’s actually on the team

THIS ANSWER. “saying you won’t be the favorites in vegas. i saw you do this at least another two times: ‘we are not the favorites.’ do you think a change of mindset is needed?” lando: “no, i can say what i want, i can think what i want, i tell you what i always am, i always try and be as honest as i can be. if i don't think we're going to be quick, i don't think we're going to be quick. and i'm not saying i'm going to be 10th, i'm just saying i think it's going to be difficult to win. we were a long way off, just go and look at the data from last year, look at the racetrace, we were miles off. and there's been plenty of races where we've not been quick enough this year, so it's not like we've won every single race and you're expecting me to say those things. i'm just giving my opinion on ‘do i think it's going to be as easy?’ i won last weekend by 30 seconds, very, very easy. i won today by pushing a lot more, only 10 seconds, and max was probably the quickest out on track today. do i think that at a track that we've never been good at, we were very good here two years ago, we almost challenged max for the win, we've never been good in vegas. so why am i going to think, ‘yeah, it's going to be fine, whatever?’ i'm giving my opinion, i'm giving my honest opinion on how i think we're going to be. we've never been good there, so i'm not the most confident about going into this race. maybe i'll win, then we'll see. but i'm not going to lie and say ‘yeah, i'm very confident and i think it's going to be an easy weekend’ because i don't think that's how it's going to be. so no, i mean, you're very right to have your own opinion on what you think i should say and what i should not say and whatever, but i'll do what i like.”
Friendly reminder that he hadn’t seen the live feed and didn’t realise Daniel had crashed. This was debunked immediately after that practice session.
friendly reminder that tom stallard was the race engineer who asked if the car was okay, before he checked on the driver when daniel ricciardo crashed in monaco 2023.
