To further support our effort to phase out petroleum-based food dyes, the FDA has proposed revoking authorization of Orange B – a food dye sometimes used in hot dog and sausage casings. fda.gov/food/hfp-constituent… The agency has tentatively concluded the color additive is no longer in use and its regulation is outdated and unnecessary.
