David Squires (@squires_david) delves into… ghosts of the TV shows who died too soon 📺 We have all done it, haven’t we? Abandoned a TV show before it gets to the nitty-gritty, giving up on an apparently beloved series before the end of the second episode. It might well be the golden age of television, one which started with the heavy investment of HBO into a ream of incredibly well-produced series, but that means it is also likely the golden age of giving up on television series which are supposed to be magnificent. Game of Thrones, Yellowstone, Ted Lasso, Derry Girls and a whole host more have all been suggested to you on countless occasions, but how many of them have you seen through their lifecycle, and how many did you execute after one dull episode? What if those shows found their way back? From beyond the static grave, they found their way across the airwaves and into your home, only to haunt you once more with their nagging insistence that they are, in fact, the greatest TV show that Sharon from work has ever seen. In a world where Emmys mean extremely little, perhaps the only guarantee of viewing eyeballs is to extract them and place them directly in front of the TV in a glass?
