When you log in or verify your identity, the system cross-checks your device ID and personal data through centralized government servers and third-party verification partners (Telus, Interac, SecureKey). The infrastructure already exists; formal “digital ID” rollout is mostly a matter of branding and policy alignment rather than new technology.

Digital ID is coming to Canada. It will soon be mandatory to collect welfare and unemployment—but we all know, it won’t stop there. Convenience is the bait. Control is the catch.

Every single part of your life will be connected to your digital ID. Your job, pay, savings, health records, investments, spending, travel history, charities you donate to, amount you gamble, on line history, property, car, gun and pet ownership, and how you vote: EVERYTHING.
