FWIW: I've been following
@BriannaWu since shortly after October 7th, '23. She is one of the most level-headed and honorable voices on this platform (okay, if you go by the average that's a low bar, but there are many great people here too, and she's among them).
She's also a transwoman who receives a steady stream of vileness over that fact and is very concerned by some of the legislative moves and executive orders affecting trans people. To the best of my understanding, she is opposed to self-identification as sufficient evidence of sex, and of morphological men (I don't know if anybody calls it that, but I mean men who still have their male parts) in women's spaces, and to natal men competing in women's sports where they have a natural advantage, and to medicalized transitioning of children.
She also opposes forcing morphological women into men's spaces and denying trans people any rights that don't impinge on others as those listed above do.
I'm conservative and religiously orthodox and I share those opinions. The matter doesn't affect me personally, but Mrs. Wu has indicated a lack of rhetorical support for her positions, and publicly placing myself in her camp seems the least I can do.
