This is a bit unusual… why could they just not be locked in and have edit styles like almost every other cosmetic in the game (other than Maya and Brella)

Make it so you can customize them at any time, no lock-in.

Sidekicks drop tonight, but remember not to fold for the high prices/manipulative lock-in style re-purchase system if you aren't a fan of it. The best way for change is to show it's not worth paying for, low sales will reflect this, just the way prices were lowered for cars

this is pathetic, making us buy the same thing over and over just to change its shirt or something? we used to get like 8 styles for a skin back then im not buying any of these because i dont want to show epic they can do this for things like skins or backblings in the future

Fortnite has always been known for giving players good value for their money, but this move feels greedy. Epic might be trying to find new ways to earn more from cosmetics, but this definitely isn’t the right one. It comes off as predatory, like what we see in other games. Fortnite’s cosmetics have always sold well because they weren’t predatory but this one feels like a step in the wrong direction. #Fortnite

That’s how hey should be by default…that you get one of each and can customize hem at will…locking that in is just greed and people shouldn’t be defending or ignoring it
