We are still so far off from useful generalized humanoid robots. Xpeng looks to be amongst the leaders and they even admit it. At a press briefing today, the head of the program was talking about it more as an exploration project than anything else -even though they have mass production ambitions. It is so far behind the efficiency of humans.

When asked about it, the answer is literally “we are trying things and looking for the reactions.” But also, if you are doing humanoid, then why not the female form rather than male?

Manufacturing the hardware is relatively easy compared to writing the software to operate with self independence. When I can see a robot sort out the home trash for recycling then I’ll be listening. Keep up the great videos
