A free, non-VC funded lifestyle business idea: AI training / workshops for devs Massive demand from more traditional companies that have budget for this and are seeing devs not really picking up these tools. They want to invest Doesn’t exist as far as they are aware

And before you roll your eyes at “training” Done well, workshops that get people to try new tools, new ways of working, and having “aha!” moments are awesome It’s hard to do well, and needs to be continuously updated as tools change: so it’s hard to do it right! Again, demand is there, as are budgets…

Source of my information on demand existing: Talked to a few Director+ folks at “traditional” companies (think: 50+ year old, ones like banks, airlines etc with massive tech teams) They are pouring money into AI pilots, licenses, and want to find training They gave up on training (for now) as there is none

You understand this when you see it! Not all good and fun businesses are shiny and VC-funded Also this is not for everyone, but it can be satisfying if you enjoy working with people + staying on the cutting edge and bringing people with you Niko sees it:

Yes, I was invited to do just this for a local 50-dev company, and I am still supporting them with monthly checkups, as these things are just hard for those outside the AI echo chamber.

Do you think their devs don't pick up the AI tools because they don't have the training or because they just don't want to? I'm not pushing back, just genuinely curious. There are so many resources from videos to books, tutorials etc.
They haven’t had “aha moments” about why they’re useful at work, working in their current codebases Often not allowed to use tools that would give them these aha moments And no real incentive to try them. So what if they are more productive? They already get assigned work done…

How about 'how to use AI for non-technical people?' For example my sister works in banking, I showed her how to use notebooklm. Upload all the regulations and law, wherever query replying to clients, cite the exact rule from the document.

Is it training or there is a room for tooling that simplifies AI adoption, standardizes the flows and smoothes the learning curve? Really interested what will tip the scale for these organizations.

I really would like to enter this market and have a very deep knowledge but not sure how to get in an organization. I’m very curious where the demand is showing itself?

In Poland such workshops exist and are very popular. Creators share publicly that there are thousands of participants (discounts for companies) and millions of revenue.

If you are a company that is looking for such workshops please reach out. I'm doing this for 1.5k devs and will be happy to help.

It's hard to train someone else bc the training needs to be tailored to their workflow. A series of 50 blog posts or youtube videos would be just as useful; of the 50, 5 might be beneficial to me, and that would make me much more productive.

This is exactly what my buddy and I are thinking of doing: thebrokebros.com/

I am doing this for my company on top of my normal eng duties. Mostly focusing on philosophy/dispelling myths/realistic expectations, teaching fundamentals around context management and prompting, and trying to separate wheat from chaff with new product/feature/model launches.

Free, non-VC funded? Sounds like unicorn dust. But hey, somebody needs to teach these devs how to prompt.

They already exist, consulting companies are now doing that too in addition to offering consultants for general dev work.

Simple reason - if I create something in such a company it requires massive amount of testing and procedures etc… gain is minimal

Plus it's all out of date every few months so they'll need regular refreshes. 🙃
