Big time shout out to
@Metabolic_Life. He is down !! 150 pounds!!! Can someone give this guy flowers?!
I am blown away by your story man. Big time respect. Can’t wait to see where you go from here. You look like a whole different person!!
In case anyone is interested, here’s what he had to say about it
Here’s what I usually say:
“At the end of 2024, I was admitted to the hospital in diabetic ketoacidosis. As a Type 2 diabetic, this was confusing and I didn’t even know that could happen. But, my pancreas was failing. After I got out a week later, I resolved to get off injected insulin and take back my life.
I started walking. A lot. Ten thousand steps a day.
I started eating a whole-foods, low carbohydrate, protein-forward diet.
I started intermittent fasting. Every day.
Within a month, I was off of my fast-acting insulin. Within two months, I was off all insulin.
Notice what I wrote above is not extreme. I didn’t go “no carb”. I didn’t start working out 12 hours a week. I didn’t fast for weeks at a time.
I made big but sustainable changes, and I let them compound over a year. Now, I’m no longer obese, I’m starting to do resistance training (which I wish I had started earlier in my journey), I’m incorporating HIIT, and I’m the healthiest I have ever been in my adult life.
I’m so grateful to my family for supporting me and my friends for cheering me on. I feel happy waking up every day, and I’m looking forward to the next journey.”
