Hey @grok can the British people defend its borders from invaders? Or do they have to rely on the British military to stop a foreign invasion?

🍣 I visited the factory in Stowmarket, Suffolk which makes all of Tesco’s sushi. And discovered some fascinating facts about UK supermarket sushi. The biggest ingredient is obviously rice. But all of it comes from Australia. High quality & cheap 🇦🇺 🧵1/5

So 12% of adults provide a whopping 71% of the income tax revenue??? That’s insane, and really puts into perspective the grim reality of skint and underpaid Britain.

There's about to be an attempt to reframe the exposure of the Panorama Trump programme as an assault on the BBC. The truth is it's one of the most egregious breaches of editorial guidelines in the Corporation's history. Footage was literally doctored to mislead its audience.
Your defence of the BBC would make more sense David if you explained that your wife was for many years BBC HR director ( may well be today) and that the BBC gives you a show on Radio 4 which is enormously helpful to your PR business.
Pot and Kettle. This confected and overplayed anti-BBC story is one of the most obvious examples of agenda journalism in this area for years.

Dude flew all the way to Puerto Rico to attend services at a pro-terror mosque. Man, we are in for some dark times ahead.
BREAKING: Just days after winning the NYC mayoral election, Zohran Mamdani flew to Puerto Rico — and attended a mosque where the Imam called October 7th a “silver lining.” Utterly disgusting.

Since 1963, 75% of all nationwide injunctions have been against President Trump. 90% of those injunctions came from Democrat-appointed judges. Yet the Admin has a 92% win rate at SCOTUS. President Trump isn’t the one abusing his power. It’s Democrat-appointed judges.

The revelation that Police Scotland failed to investigate a grooming gang in Glasgow is utterly shameful. If we can’t protect vulnerable girls from exploitation and sexual violence on this scale, we have failed as a society. Earlier this year, Conservatives tabled an amendment calling for a national inquiry into grooming gangs. Labour voted it down. Just weeks ago, Scottish Conservatives brought forward an amendment to launch an inquiry. The SNP voted it down. Enough. Stop the cover-ups. If the SNP continue to block this, many will ask the same questions being asked of Labour: what have they got to hide? This is a UK-wide scandal and one of the greatest state failures of our time. @RussellFindlay1 and I will work together to call for a UK-wide inquiry that delivers justice for victims.
'Scotland needs to be included in this inquiry!' Grooming gangs survivor Fiona Goddard shares her experience being trafficked and her subsequent fight for justice, as GB News reveal Police Scotland missed opportunities to help an anonymous victim.

I think one of the coolest things about London is the ‘City of London’, which in fact has nothing to do with London city and is a private corporation that runs the ‘square mile’, which is the heart of Londons financial district and has its own laws and police force - it’s composed of ‘companies’, each company representing a trade. There are 100+ - you can ‘pay a fine’ to buy your ‘freedom’ from the city - once you become a freeman you have several privileges including being able to herd sheep across London Bridge without paying a toll (people do it today too!). Also if you’re ever drunk and passed out in the city it is their responsibility to get you home - each company has a number, higher the number more prestigious the company. Fun fact: the phrase ‘of sixes and sevens’ derived from two companies (skinners and merchant Taylors) conflicting over who is six and seven - The City of London corporation also runs Hampstead Heath (londons largest park?) if not the best amongst other charities - many other fun things and activities They try to stay relevant (new companies, activities) but in my personal experience have struggled to do so. Nevertheless, I think it’s one of the coolest things about London.
I have taken office as the 697th Lord Mayor of the City of London - the first to use the title Lady Mayor. My focus this year: - Make Mansion House the embassy for financial services - Unsquare the Square Mile to attract the best talent - Champion access to opportunities for all Learn more - bit.ly/3O1A0D0
Rabbi @AmmiHirsch sat down with Zohran Mamdani. He came with an open mind. He left with a pit in his stomach. Zohran made it crystal clear: He doesn’t believe Israel has any right to exist. Not within the ‘67 lines. Not within the ‘48 borders. Not at all. That’s not “policy disagreement.” That’s Hamas with better PR. That’s the ideology behind October 7th. And now it’s running New York City.
If this report is accurate in relation to the Barton case then then law - in whatever form its drafted - needs to be repealed or rewritten. It is quite clearly ridiculous that people are being convicted of offences for expressing opinions like this. However much people may disagree with them.
I cannot get my head around this. Joey Barton was convicted in a court of law for suggesting that a black football pundit was "only there to tick boxes" and then levelling criticism at the BLM movement. Disagree with his opinions by all means, but this is simply crazy.

This was just posted on Charlie Kirk’s Facebook page with over 10 million followers: Charlie Kirk: “In Islam, in the verses, you are allowed to lie, you are allowed to deceive, in front of God as long as it advances the aims & goals of Islam.”

Having become aware of this, I watched the exchange online last night. What I found most interesting about it was the 100 yr old veteran's mental acuity in side-stepping the trap which may or may not have been deliberately laid for him by Mr Ray. I thought "chapeau, brave sir".
100-year-old veteran says this version of Britain wasn’t worth fighting for. Adil Ray, who yesterday appeared to be in favour of Sharia Law, says: ‘What do you mean by that?’…we all know what he means, Adil.

Since 2016, 1,367,942 foreign drivers have been issued a driving licence without taking a UK test - stats I've extracted from the Department for Transport. Madness. Many foreign drivers simply do not understand our road system. I am pushing for a significant tightening.
I feel desperately sorry for this woman, who wasted 10 years of her life on a man who strung her a long with the hope of marriage and children. She is 34, so met him at 24. He is 38, meet at 28. The truth is however, she also, for whatever reasons let herself be strung along. If you meet a man at 24, and he is 28, you need 3 years max to decide to get married. It is simply untrue to believe you need more than that. This is also the problem with mothers, aunts and grandmothers who say ‘I mind my own business.’ The older women – aunts by blood or otherwise – should have advised this woman to walk away after three years. Her happiness is your business. Only in the west is this permitted to go on, and men who might be attachment avoidant, treat women like this. 3 years. Then decide. telegraph.co.uk/money/consum…

At what point do we come to terms with the reality that the BBC, like so many institutions, is a political activist? It long ago ceased to be a voice for Britain. Now it stands against Britain. An apology is not good enough. telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/11…
