I don’t know if you will read this, but I wanted to let you know what’s going on in Las Vegas, Nevada. I wanted to report this as fraud and abuse, but I couldn’t because the government is shut down. The bureau of land management sold a piece of land here for $2000 which is actually worth $20 million in order to build low income housing. That seems like fraud to me because I have the understanding that President Trump is OK with selling federal land as long as the proceeds are applied to the debt. So instead of getting $20 million they got $2000. I believe this is part of a HUD program that started with Obama and was paused until Biden became president and then they started shoveling money out the doors for what they call affordable housing The problem is they’re planning on putting this low income housing project in the middle of an existing neighborhood of homes, which will cause home prices to dramatically drop for people who have worked hard for these homes. How would you like it if you were planning on buying a half million home and were driving down the street and saw one of these low income monstrosities being built, which will look nothing like the surrounding neighborhood. I personally would just keep driving. What’s really bad is it’s called a community land trust project and the people who buy these homes will never own the land the homes are built on. So how is that part of the American dream? That’s just socialism 101 so the government can keep people under their thumb while they keep getting richer. I don’t believe President Trump even knows this is happening. I can’t believe that he would be OK with something this damaging to real estate prices and every day working people There is so much land around here where they could build these low income homes that wouldn’t be right in the middle of an established neighborhood. The way I understand it this low income project building is going on all over the country. They were using funds from the infrastructure bill that was passed the last year Biden was president and they’re shoveling the money out the door to these local communities to make them change the zoning if they don’t change the zoning to allow these projects to be built, they will use lose federal funds. I hope you read this or someone in your office brings it to your attention so that you could help our community we have tried everything, but I think we are fighting a losing battle because money talks if this project goes through I will have to sell my home before it gets built, which is sad because my disabled veteran husband suffered and worked hard to get this house and now his own government is going to is going to force us to sell it before we lose our equity
